Welcome to your therapy journey, or welcome back! Now that you’re here, what do you discuss? How do you begin that conversation about mental health and wellness? As your therapist, I will immerse you in the therapy experience and provide a safe space for you to talk about yourself and what you’re looking for. In my work, I am a queer-affirming therapist who takes a relational approach to therapy, where I encourage you to explore your past relationships and reflect upon how they may have impacted you now. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, life transitions, and negative self-esteem, and work with a diverse range of clients like college students, adults, and individuals in BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I have experience working in various clinical settings and previously worked at LaGuardia Community College's Wellness Center where I learned how to navigate a college counseling environment while providing care for hard-working students experiencing academic-related concerns. Outside of therapy, I am an artist, a social justice advocate, and an animal lover. If you are interested in booking with me, please schedule an appointment through Greenpoint Psychotherapy’s website. If you are a provider, feel free to email me or send a referral and I will respond accordingly.

Do you feel like you’re stuck in a loop of thoughts and actions that are hard to stop? Life can feel overwhelming when your mind won’t stop racing or when anxious thoughts and doubts take over. As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck in cycles of worry, fear, or perfectionism. If you’re struggling with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or self-confidence issues, I’m here to help you find clarity, calm, and greater confidence. We'll work together to gain tools to relieve stress, develop personalized self-care practices that fit into your busy schedule, build trust in yourself, and feel less anxious and more in control of your life. I use Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), an approach designed to help you better understand and change the thinking patterns that contribute to OCD. Our sessions can help you replace that inner critic with a kinder, more self-compassionate voice that recognizes your worth beyond achievements. I provide a warm and compassionate space where we’ll work together to understand your experiences and tackle challenges. If you’re ready to leave overwhelm behind and embrace a more balanced, fulfilling life, I’d love to help. Contact me today to schedule a free phone consultation. I look forward to walking this journey with you!

Hi & welcome. My college years were a time of great learning and friendship, and also, of significant loss. This led to my own passion of supporting young adults facing challenges and grief during this important life stage. I have extensive experience working with grieving individuals - children, teens, college students, and adults - including after incidents of mass trauma. My practice (CT/NY) also provides support to those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, family and relationship difficulties, academic and career challenges, self-doubt, and stressors due to caregiving. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and results-oriented and incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I also value the role of creative expression and appreciate how art, play, and narrative therapies impact healing. I value each client as unique and resilient. I offer compassion, warmth, and humor as we collaborate to work towards building on your strengths, increasing your coping skills, and creating the changes you hope to see. We're a team and we got this!

Many of the students I work with are used to pushing through, even when they're overwhelmed. They may be questioning their career path, struggling with perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, or feeling like they're falling behind while everyone else seems to have life figured out. Others are navigating ADHD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or family stress. As a college professor and psychologist, I understand the unique pressures students face and help them better understand the patterns that keep them stuck, build confidence in their decisions, and develop a stronger sense of who they are both in and outside of the classroom.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and identity-related concerns. I have experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ patients and individuals from immigrant families navigating the intersection of cultural identity, family dynamics, and intergenerational experiences. I also have experience working with individuals facing more complex mental health challenges, including psychosis and other high acuity presentations, and I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel understood, empowered, and safe throughout the therapeutic process. My approach to therapy is informed by attachment theory, recognizing that our earliest relationships can shape how we experience trust, intimacy, conflict, and emotional safety throughout our lives. In therapy, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while developing healthier ways of relating to ourselves and others. I integrate psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and somatic approaches, including breathwork and grounding techniques, to help patients build insight, strengthen coping skills, regulate emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change. I'm passionate about helping people recognize their strengths and create meaningful change, even during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. I value the opportunity to build genuine therapeutic relationships and provide a space where patients feel supported, understood, and empowered. Seeing patients gain insight, develop confidence, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is what makes this work so rewarding to me.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in midtown Manhattan. When I decided to go back to school for a master’s degree, I chose social work because I felt strongly about its foundational belief that focus should be on both a person and their environment. During graduate school at Fordham University I saw many appealing paths I could continue on after graduation. While both macro and micro levels of practice are extremely important, I felt best suited for work with individuals on a deeper level. I wanted to further my education and went on to complete the four-year postgraduate training program in Adult Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from The National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Prior to private practice I worked with a diverse population in various clinics throughout New York City. In addition to private practice I have been guest faculty at the Training Institute for Mental Health and taught a course on Eating Disorders. In March 2020, I completed a post master’s program in Spirituality and Social Work at New York University.
