As a psychotherapist and psychiatrist, I believe that working to understand our struggles in the context of a healing relationship can help us live life with greater wisdom, flexibility, and integrity. I also believe that we are shaped by our relationships, past and present. My work is to address internal conflicts and patterns of suffering that can leave us feeling stuck in our lives. I aim to provide a space that fosters lasting emotional growth, greater fulfillment, and deeper connection with self and others. You may see me for psychotherapy, medications, or both. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. I see our work as an opportunity to be your partner in a journey of self-discovery. Using a psychodynamic frame, I focus on helping you understand the stories that make up your past and present while also attuning to the here-and-now of our relationship. My hope is that, through this work, you may walk toward your future with authenticity and purpose. I am committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care that centers you as a unique, whole person, while recognizing the ways that that our communities and intersectional identities shape our experiences. I welcome the privilege of working with people of all races, ethnicities, spiritualities, abilities, genders, and orientations.
Are you the go-to person at school, at home, and with friends? You might even feel resentful sometimes - you do so much for others, but you're not getting that same care back from them. And that only makes you feel "selfish" and more guilty! Helping people break free from overworking & resentment is my passion. Many of my clients are people who have partners, friends, or family members living with alcoholism/substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and chronic health issues. You don't have to handle this alone, and you can feel more empowered, connected, and at peace in your life. I offer both psychotherapy and career coaching for my clients. We have room to explore how your past experiences have shaped you, examine the systemic barriers you are facing, build on your strengths and skills, and focus on specific action steps you can take to make changes in your life now. My style is warm, interactive, and practical, focused on helping you gain self-compassion & confidence. If you'd like to talk more, please email me to schedule a free phone consultation. I'd love to hear from you!

The college students I work best with are thoughtful, curious, and trying hard, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. Many are dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, or OCD and feel overwhelmed by the pressure to succeed, figure things out quickly, or keep it all together. Some struggle with focus, motivation, or routines, even though they care deeply about their goals. A lot of my clients tell me they feel stuck in their heads, constantly overthinking, procrastinating, or second-guessing themselves. They’re tired of feeling like they’re falling behind and want someone who truly understands and can offer tools that actually help. In our work, we make space for what’s difficult while building real strategies to help you feel more grounded, capable, and clear about what you want.
Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have always loved helping others. My passion for working with people in their 20s and 30s stems from years of working with children and adolescents in schools. I’ve helped students find their own path into adulthood and see my current work as a continuation of offering that guidance and support. Previous clients describe me as very kind, empathetic, non-judgmental, and caring. Counseling is in my blood, it's all I have ever done and I feel as passionate about it today as I did when I started.

I work with students who feel like life is moving too fast and expectations are piling up. Maybe you’re stressed about classes, friendships, or future plans, or just feeling unsure of yourself. Therapy is a place to slow down, be heard, and figure out what really matters to you. The people I work with often struggle with stress, self-doubt, or adjusting to big life changes. Together, we explore ways to handle pressure, build confidence, and find balance in your academic and personal life. Sessions are a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings. You’ll leave with practical strategies and a clearer sense of your own goals and values, so you can navigate college life with more confidence and calm.
With over 20 years of experience in clinical care, education, and research, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatry support tailored to high performing adults seeking clarity, stability, and wellness. My goal is to provide you both empathic and evidence-based support that leads to sustaining improvement.
We are all hard-wired to feel and to connect to others, yet so many of us are scared of our feelings. We are afraid of being overwhelmed by them and of being dismissed or ignored by others if we share them. It is our fear of feeling and fear of revealing that causes us to experience symptoms of distress and disconnection from ourselves and from each other. In our sessions and through the psychotherapeutic model of AEDP, we focus on getting past this fear in order to fully embrace our feelings. Our work together is not about you simply retelling your story; it's about you embracing and sharing the emotions that come up as you tell it. By learning to be authentic and transparent with your feelings, you will feel calmer and more confident while experiencing deeper connections. Ultimately, your true self will emerge.
Hi, I'm Stephanie. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who provides trauma-informed care to a wide variety of patients. I strive to provide a warm and safe space where patients can feel comfortable sharing without fear of judgment. My goal is to help my patients reflect on their values so that they can work towards what it means to be their "best self." I will always focus on treating the symptoms and not the "disorder," in an effort to tailor my approach to the individual. I believe deeply in fighting stigma associated with mental illness and am involved in advocacy and research outside of treating patients.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY with over 7 years of experience in the field. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I have worked with youth and adults in my community in both clinical and academic settings, and especially enjoy working with college students and faculty. I am a proud LGBTQIA+ ally, and I am committed to anti-racism and understanding the unique struggles at the intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and mental health. I use a mix of CBT, DBT, positive psychology, and mindfulness techniques. My person-centered therapeutic style focuses on acceptance and relationship building. I am a calm and empathetic listener, and do my best to be positive and upbeat when appropriate. I work well with those who are seeking change and willing to explore their diagnoses and how their symptoms are impacting their life. This way, we can collaboratively develop a treatment plan, build new skills, and evaluate your progress together. In our first session, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, concerns, and history. This will help us develop an initial plan for treatment, which we’ll collaborate on moving forward. Helping others with their mental health is my life’s passion, and I encourage you to reach out if you think we might be a good fit. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, so you're only responsible for your co-pay!
We offer affirming psychotherapy and sex therapy for individuals, couples, multiple-partner relationships, and poly and leather families. We are experts in alternative sexualities, specializing in working with adults in the kink/BDSM, polyamorous/non-monogamous, trans/gender-nonconforming/non-binary, LGBQIA+, and sex work communities. We work with those who live openly and out; and those who have more conservative and private lifestyles. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including holistic, person-centered, collaborative, empowerment-focused, trauma-informed, IFS, DBT, and EMDR. We welcome people of every ability, age, gender, national origin, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation, and we cultivate space for conversations that de/reconstruct whiteness, and cultivate positive racial and intersectional identities. People seek therapy for many reasons, including: a deeper understanding of identity or sexuality; difficulty adjusting to relationship difficulties or traumatic experiences; anxiety and/or depression; sexual functioning issues; compulsive thoughts or behavior; and/or changes in relationship structure or power dynamic. Most people decide to work with my practice because of my specialized training and experience, or because they feel more comfortable speaking to a therapist with first-hand knowledge of alternative identities and lifestyles.
