Whether you’re struggling with past trauma, adjusting to life transitions, or seeking guidance in the face of adversity, I offer a safe, supportive environment to explore your experiences and work towards your goals. I specialize in assessment and treatment of sleep problems and ADHD. I am board certified in behavioral sleep medicine (i.e., the behavioral treatment of sleep difficulties). I provide CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) and also treat other sleep problems such as circadian rhythm disorders (e.g., delayed sleep phase) and nightmares. I also have extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of ADHD. I provide neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, including testing for the purpose of requesting accommodations on standardized exams, and ADHD/executive function coaching (also known as CBT for ADHD).
I work with college students navigating life transitions, loss, and the question of who they are and what comes next, often carrying patterns, unspoken expectations, or a sense of self shaped by experiences they didn't choose. As a bilingual, native Spanish-speaking therapist, I understand how nuanced identity can be and how exhausting it is when that isn't fully seen or honored. My specialty is helping young adult clients reclaim a sense of self during stages of life where identity and agency are often overlooked. I believe in a body-first, present-focused approach to treat your symptoms, prioritizing stabilization while trusting that lasting change comes from a deeper understanding of our histories, relationships, internal worlds, and motivations.
College can feel overwhelming—you may be juggling classes, relationships, family expectations, and major life decisions all at once. You deserve support that helps you feel grounded, focused, and able to grow during this time. I take a strengths-based approach, recognizing the resilience and determination you already bring. As a parent who completed my degree while working full-time, I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing multiple roles. That experience shapes how I help students build boundaries, stay focused, and create sustainable strategies for success. I work best with students who want more than a space to vent. Together, we focus on practical tools, clearer direction, and meaningful change you can apply in daily life. I especially enjoy supporting working parents, adult learners, and first-generation college students navigating anxiety, cultural or family pressures, identity concerns, and relationship stress. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) LCSW with over 10 years of experience, I provide a supportive, structured space to help you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in college and beyond.

My approach to therapy is rooted in anti-oppression principles. I have specialized training in trauma practice, particularly around experiences of abuse, violence, and intergenerational trauma. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems/parts work, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other relational approaches. My approach is collaborative and flexible, meaning that clients and I talk through the styles and tools we can use to best fit what they would like to work through. Much of my experience is working with people of color and queer and trans/GNC communities. My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative, fostering individuals’ ability to build resilience, joy, and power. In my practice, I welcome my clients to process things of all sizes (their traumas and their milder annoyances), explore their identities and experiences, and express a wide range of emotions. You can expect direct communication from me, reflections of what I notice about your patterns and processes, questions to deepen both of our understandings of yourself, and invitations for mutual feedback. I value autonomy and will never pressure you to share things you aren't ready to share, or simply do not want to share.

Charlie Health is a virtual behavioral health program for adolescents and young adults with moderate or severe mental health concerns or co-occurring substance use or eating disorders. Designed to meet the needs of those who require more than weekly therapy, our program combines curated group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy into personalized treatment programs. We are helping to serve those who are in crisis, or have been historically underserved, by eliminating the most significant treatment barriers: geographical and financial access. We work with nearly all commercial insurance nationwide and have no waitlist, thereby helping people access quality, evidence-based care regardless of insurance, location, or other barriers.
Do people tell you that you worry too much? That you should try to "be positive" or "stop overthinking everything all the time"? Together we can help find solutions, improve your sense of self and your relationships, provide safety and warmth, and start to create meaning and order in the chaos of our world. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, relationship problems, and work difficulties. My approach is holistic, honoring the mind-body connection and individual strengths. I work best with clients who have a natural curiosity about themselves and others. My style is warm, honest and nonjudgmental, and my practice draws from psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, EMDR, internal family systems, and attachment-based neuroscience.

You may be seeking therapy to understand yourself better, express yourself more authentically, build stronger social connections, or get through a big life transition. As you navigate high-pressure challenges in school, work, or relationships, you want practical strategies to communicate and move ahead more confidently and authentically, and strengthen your sense of self. Our work - whether it's short-term or ongoing - will be collaborative and goal-oriented. I work across the lifespan, and have openings for therapy, parent support/consultation, and adult autism assessments. You'll find my approach to be strengths-focused, neuroaffirmative, and trauma-informed, and to involve a lot of self-compassion.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a degree in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado. Mindfulness informs all aspects of my work, including my emphasis on creating a space of compassion and curiosity in which we can explore, experiment, and journey together. You can't do anything "wrong" in therapy; everything that happens can be mined for wisdom. I have primarily worked with people to address issues related to anxiety, depression, self-concept, and life transitions. I see therapy sessions as a balance between processing and skill-building, in which there is enough open space to explore and also enough direction to come away with concrete action steps to create the desired change. In addition to mindfulness, I have training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I frequently guide my clients in getting to know and work with "parts" of themselves. I bring a trauma-informed approach to all sessions, in which safety, empowerment, and self-compassion are held paramount. For trauma-specific work, I utilize my training in EMDR therapy to provide targeted interventions designed to desensitize and reprocess traumatic experiences in the brain. Above all else, I hold a steadfast hope for the ability of each and every person to heal and grow. It is truly an honor and privilege to join my clients in that journey.
