Therapists for college students near New York University
You try so hard to keep the peace. You don't want to "rock the boat", and desperately want others to like you. After years of bending over backwards, your nerves are so much on edge that others have called you "too sensitive" or "overly emotional". In relationships with family, friends, partners, and coworkers, you feel powerless and plagued with doubt. Overthinking and spiraling thoughts are your new norm. But recently, you're realizing that you've been putting other people first for years, so much so, that you've forgotten to take care of yourself. That's where our work together comes in. Are you ready to learn to trust your own voice? Are you ready to shed the message that you have to please others to have happy relationships? Are you ready to stop overthinking? And most importantly, are you ready to begin taking care of yourself, the way you've been taking care of others for years? Invest in yourself and take that next step by clicking "Email Me" button or giving me a call. I offer a free phone consultation, and see clients in-person in my Oneonta Office and via telehealth anywhere in New York. I specialize in working with college students, and have experience in working with adults of all ages. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! My name is Brianna, and I intertwine my experiences as a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, perpetual student, community organizer, and insights from my own mental health journey into my holistic practice. I aim to provide an engaging and warm environment where together we can access tools to help you cope with stressors; set healthy boundaries and improve communication to fuel connection and build relationships; step into your emotions to better regulate them; reprocess past traumatic experiences; and strengthen your attunement and awareness to your body. You have the innate power to heal yourself, I’m simply here to guide and empower you along the way. I use techniques from multiple modalities, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing (SE), internal family systems (IFS), intuitive eating, and feminist therapy, while always adding a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens. Together we can collaborate to tailor an approach that best addresses your needs in an environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Please reach out for a free clarity call if you are interested in investing in yourself and working together!

People come to therapy for many different reasons, but, at the core, they are looking for understanding, relief, or growth. Maybe you’re trying to understand why you feel the way you do, or you find yourself caught in the same difficult thoughts again and again. Perhaps you’ve noticed patterns of behavior that seem to work against your own well-being. You might be facing a life transition—chosen or not—and are feeling anxious about what’s next. Or maybe you just feel stuck. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. Together, we can clarify your current experience, explore how you got here, and begin to shape a healthier, more fulfilling path forward.
