We offer trauma-focused strengths-based therapy to individuals, caregivers, and families. When working with children, families will be engaged in play therapy sessions to encourage bonding, communication, and growth. With adolescents and adults, using CBT techniques, we will focus on replacing negative thinking with positive self-talk and adapting positive coping mechanisms. Through Somatic Experiencing techniques, we can tap into physical and emotional symptoms associated with trauma -- locked into the body -- and guide you into identifying and utilizing the innate healing capacity in your body.

You may find yourself feeling soft spoken, timid, and meek- but secretly waiting to speak- you feel like you are tirelessly trying to keep pace in a world that does not align with your rhythm. If feelings of anxiety are consuming or camouflaging themselves as reoccurring & normal, I am an expert in supporting you in breaking out of your shell, and dismantling old narratives about anxiety, and ADHD. I support clients in exploring their pasts to inform their future, and take control of their narrative. I believe building a healthy connection with yourself is the springboard to living a more fulfilling life and can enhance your ability to form deeper relationships, and show up for yourselves and others in a more grounded way. I do not practice with a one-size fits all approach, and empower clients to take the lead in their experience. I service NY & CT residents. When life presents us with challenges and unexpected turns, we are given options for an opportunity for change; to not allow them to define our present or our future. Many of us face difficult situations that can get in the way of a full, satisfying life. Each individual has the strength within to grow and find a healthy balance. Sometimes, we need a little extra guidance to see that life's challenges can be transformed into healing opportunities. Therapy can offer a breath of hope to those who feel lost, stuck and alone. One of the most important factors in successful therapy is finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with. Therapy also provides exploration on learning how to find your true sense of self. Working together helps develop a better understanding of yourself, while re-claiming your personal strengths. It takes courage to start the process of building a trusting, therapeutic relationship. Finding the right fit in a therapist is a really important step. Telling your story and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself will have an enormous, positive impact. Let's connect to uncover your full potential.
The therapy practice is called Lotus Psychology Practice because we find ourselves inspired by the lotus flower. It grows beautifully out of the mud. Many get stuck in the mud and fail to see their inner strengths and beauty. At Lotus Psychology Practice we help you get out the mud and help you find your strength.
I have years of experience working with folks of all ages in various settings towards their mental health and life goals. With curiosity, humor, and compassion, I strive to create a space to explore the oftentimes messy worlds within and around us. I believe we all have an innate profound ability to heal ourselves that can be activated with the right support. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, establishing/maintaining routines, and supporting those with chronic health challenges primarily - though I have experience with a wide array of life conditions. While the work is often grounded in psychodynamic and CBT approaches, other healing modalities are incorporated as well. You can expect that goals, values, and identities, what makes us-us will be explored, and often guides the process. I welcome any questions you may have, and look forward to hearing from you.

You are not broken — you are human. And being human means facing change, pressure, and uncertainty — things that can feel especially heavy during college. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, questioning who you are or what’s next, or trying to balance school, family, and your own expectations. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and begin again — with support and intention. In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, understanding space where you can show up just as you are — no need to have it all together. My role isn’t to fix you, but to walk beside you. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, reconnect you with your strengths, and find new ways forward that feel true to who you are. Every student’s story is different. That’s why I don’t believe in one “right” way to do therapy. Our work will be shaped by your needs, your culture, and your goals. Whether you’re coping with stress, adjusting to college life, dealing with family or relationship challenges, or trying to rediscover your sense of purpose, we’ll move at your pace. A big part of our work will be exploring three things: WHY – Why are you seeking change? PURPOSE – What gives your life meaning? PRIORITIES – What matters most to you right now? When we understand your why, purpose, and priorities, therapy becomes more than just talking — it becomes growth. Wherever you are in your process, you don’t have to walk it alone. I’m here to meet you where you are and support you as you find your way forward.

Whether you are struggling with work-life balance, relationships, or life transitions, I offer new ways of thinking and a personalized treatment plan that empowers you to live your most meaningful life. I also have significant experience treating college students, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people of color. I graduated from Harvard College with High Honors in the Comparative Study of Religion and received my MD from Thomas Jefferson University with a certificate in clinical translational research. I completed my Adult Psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. I also received additional psychotherapy training at NY Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a network of about 25 Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychotherapists who are academically oriented and practice evidence-based care. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. We additionally provide neuropsychological assessments for accommodations. Services include Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management and Psychotherapy. Patients can generally be seen within 2-3 weeks. We do not have admitting privileges at local hospitals, and therefore, if a patient is high risk for self-harm, is acutely suicidal or needing crisis intervention, has a history of inpatient psychiatric admissions, suicide attempts, or psychosis, we may recommend providers with additional emergency resources outside of our practice.
