Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have always loved helping others. My passion for working with people in their 20s and 30s stems from years of working with children and adolescents in schools. I’ve helped students find their own path into adulthood and see my current work as a continuation of offering that guidance and support. Previous clients describe me as very kind, empathetic, non-judgmental, and caring. Counseling is in my blood, it's all I have ever done and I feel as passionate about it today as I did when I started.

We live in a high-paced world, pulling us in all directions, leading us to feel burnt out and disconnected from other people. You might have become tired of the nagging stress, the strong emotions, the complexity of navigating relationships, or the feeling that something is holding you back from reaching your full potential. Despite all of this, a part of you wants to feel better and move forward. After all, that is why you are taking this major step of seeking help at this moment in your life. In my practice, I construct a safe therapeutic space where you can slow down and breathe. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all formula to address your unique history, personality, and concerns. Therefore, I take a holistic and integrative approach. I consider your difficulties, strengths, where you came from, where you are now, and where you want to be. By working together with clients, I help them cultivate emotional intelligence, deepen honest self-reflection, and increase their motivation to change. Most of my clients aim to reduce stress, improve human connection, and live more meaningful lives. If you are ready to start your journey towards wellness, email me to set up a free no-obligation brief consultation.

I offer an empathic and non-judgmental space for self-exploration and moving through what might feel stuck or challenging as you navigate the college journey. This might include struggling with managing academic demands, anxiety, low mood, relationships, or self-esteem. You don't have to go through it alone. I have expertise in working with those that have experienced relational trauma, such as abuse, neglect, betrayal, or unhealthy relationships. We can work together to increase awareness and understanding of what brings you to therapy and to help empower you to achieve your goals. My approach is relational and psychodynamic and can incorporate mindfulness and somatic-based techniques, including EMDR. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi! Are you struggling with your mental health, identity, or relationships? College can be an overwhelming time – whether you’re adjusting to the coursework and living on your own, having challenges with friends or partners, or exploring who you are and who want to be. Therapy can serve as a tool to help you gain insight on your experiences, understand what you need, and learn strategies to manage your daily life. I’m a psychologist with 5+ years of experience in college counseling prior to starting my own practice. I have worked with students with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, sexual and relationship-based trauma, as well as those who are exploring their sexuality and/or gender identity. I welcome clients of all cultural backgrounds and provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy. Fee free to reach out for a free 15-20 minute phone consultation to discuss what you're looking for and see if I might be a good therapist for you!
Have you experienced significant life changes recently and are having a hard time adjusting? Have you been feeling lost, lonely, isolated, anxious, or frustrated? Has serious illness entered your life or the life of a loved one, creating new challenges in adaptive coping and finding meaning in your life? Are you navigating profound grief and loss? I believe that by working together, we can identify and enhance your strengths while working on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. Each person is unique and deserves a care plan designed for them. For some people, a therapist is a sounding board and place to process through life experiences with someone who is non-biased, or maybe what you're seeking is encouragement, accountability, or assistance in assessing your lived experiences. While my approach is eclectic and strengths-based, it is informed by Acceptance and Commitment therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and a mindfulness/ mind-body connection approach. I am a certified yoga teacher and am working toward a Yoga Therapy certification. I am comfortable bringing in elements of mind body connection, breathwork and meditation if that is something of interest to you. Together we will build your resiliency and empower you to experience your most authentic self. I look forward to hearing form you and embarking on this journey together!

NPC is a close-knit, depth-psychotherapy group practice, where clients are drawn to the warmth and dynamic expertise of our team. We are staffed by a senior, licensed psychologist, a certified couples and sex therapist, and a certified practitioner of experiential therapy and trauma work. As the founder/lead psychologist, Dr. Jennifer Neuhof, the prior Director of Fordham University’s CPS and NYPSA Div. President, consults with our team regarding all aspects of client care. Our psychotherapists share a depth-psychodynamic conceptual lens with an integrative approach, drawing insights from diverse models based on client needs: Family-systems, trauma and neuroscience-informed, family systems, transpersonal, evidence-based somatic, CBT, and DBT. Collaboratively, we offer outstanding and compassionate care. We recognize that therapy is both science and art. As such, we synthesize scientific knowledge and evidence-based methods with experiential wisdom and intuitive insights. Our own self-awareness, coupled with empathic presence, allows us to deeply connect with our clients and empower them to live the lives they truly desire. Our specializations include all seasons of intimate relationships, family conflict, enmeshment and individuation, prenatal, pregnancy, and parenting concerns, life transitions, trauma therapy following emotional, physical, sexual, narcissistic abuse, or neglect, dissociated states, self-abandonment, overwhelm and anxiety, nervous system regulation, depression, feelings of meaninglessness, self-sabotage, psychosomatic conditions, chronic illness and pain, masking and true self emergence, and honing one’s intuition, creativity, and leadership development. Treating emerging mental health and medical professionals is a great privilege. We approach this work with a keen awareness of the unique stressors; the realities of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, perception of invulnerability, reputation management, and the radical need for self-care. Insight, we believe, is a powerful tool—not only for personal fulfillment, but also for enhancing patient relationships and health outcomes. Treatment duration, frequency and modality are tailored to our client’s needs.
