Therapists for college students near 10003
I invite you to plant the next seed in your healing journey, a space where your whole self is welcome, not only the parts that learned to survive. I’m Lalo Nahui (lah-loh nah-wee) and I use they/he pronouns. I am a queer, transmasc, neurodivergent, disabled, polyamorous, first-generation Mexican therapist. My lived experience shapes how I listen, how I notice, and how I sit with you in this work we grow together. I work with college students who are tired of surviving on autopilot, balancing academics, relationships, jobs, and the expectation to always have it figured out. You might be navigating identity exploration, grief, anxiety, burnout, executive functioning or procrastination, career decisions, or the impact of carrying burdens that were never yours to carry. Maybe therapy has felt like talking without it landing in your body; together we create practices that feel embodied, creative, and practical. We slow down. We listen to your nervous system with patience, curiosity, and care. We make space for parts of you that learned to protect, perform, disappear, or endure, and we tend to them like weathered land learning to soften again. I weave somatic and nervous-system attuned practices, parts work, narrative and expressive approaches, and spiritual tools like tarot or astrology when desired. I also offer neurodivergent-informed coaching for routines, time management, and goal-setting. I center queer and trans students, QTBIPOC and students of the global majority, neurodivergent and disabled students, and first-generation and immigrant students. This work is collaborative, consent-based, and rooted in care, curiosity, and accountability. Healing moves at the pace of your body; it unfolds in cycles and seasons. Together we clarify next steps, release narratives that echo in your body, and practice returning to your full self in ways that feel real, embodied, and empowering. Virtual telehealth available in New York (Under Supervision of Andrew Triska, LCSW).
Hi all! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Brooklyn, NY. My early training focused on teens/adolescents who were justice-involved youth (NYC juvenile detention, probation camps, non-secure detention, and OCFS placements). During my doctoral training, I completed placements at Brooklyn College Counseling Program, in addition to several hospital inpatient and outpatient programs. In my private practice work, I have continued work with the young adult population that I love, working with treatment for a broad range of issues, including: children of immigrant parents/first generation students, academic stress, social skills/social group navigation, identity formation, gender and sexuality, and role transition concerns. I believe in good therapist match for best treatment outcomes—lets connect if you think I could be a good fit for you. :) Feel free to check out my website for more details.

When emotions start to interfere with life, therapy can help. Inflow Wellness is a psychotherapy and coaching practice dedicated to helping people manage stress, re-establish life balance, and feel better through life's challenges; simply put- to ride waves of emotion and become more aligned in mind, body and heart.

I am a New York State licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience. I work with adults of diverse backgrounds and my areas of special interest include difficult life transitions, relationship conflict, racial/cultural identity, and grief and loss. I offer online video therapy sessions (telehealth) exclusively, making therapy comfortable and accessible. Whether you are struggling with negative feelings toward yourself, dissatisfaction with relationships, your academic performance or are having difficulty letting go of the past, experiencing fear about the future, or simply feeling stuck in current circumstances, therapy can bring about needed change. To achieve this, our work together may involve finding meaning and purpose, establishing or recovering a connection to your inner emotional world and/or important people around you, processing and recovering from emotional wounds, be they old or recent, or formulating a concrete plan of action and working on it together step by step. My theoretical orientation is primarily psychodynamic and I integrate other approaches (i.e. DBT, CBT, etc.) as appropriate while always working from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens. I am Zur Institute certified in teletherapy. I offer a free brief phone consultation prior to scheduling an initial appointment in order to clarify whether teletherapy with me would be a good fit. If you were looking for a sign to try therapy, consider this that sign. Life feels hard, and everyone and everything feels overwhelming. You just want to feel better but don't even know where to begin. You don't have to figure it all out on your own. So let's talk. Even better, let's collaborate. I have a relaxed style based on science but led by empathy and humor. I commonly help clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions, or even just a case of the "blahs." Our work together will be as unique as you are to pinpoint and address your personal goals. I commonly I pull from evidence-based treatments including cognitive and psychodynamic therapies geared to target unhelpful thoughts, build up your coping skills or work through past and current patterns. During our sessions, you can expect to feel safe, seen, and fully embraced- just as you are. I look forward to connecting with you to learn how we can enhance your well-being, alleviate the stress and pain you may be experiencing and find your joy again.
