Have you been feeling lost or stuck? Feeling disconnected with yourself? Or feeling alone in the challenges you are facing? I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have; that we are shaped by the tools we have adopted or have learned throughout our lives. However, these tools aren’t always enough, or don’t serve us in the ways we truly need. Many of our emotional challenges or struggles come from pieces of ourselves that are hurt or misunderstood. While these experiences can feel isolating, this is not a journey you have to approach alone. I work with clients to help them explore their identities, develop self-compassion, process trauma, and learn more effective ways to identify and manage their emotions. Through a mix of counseling modalities, we will work together to help you heal and feel better equipped to handle both current challenges and those you may face in the future. As someone who's been on the "other side of the couch", I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating; not knowing if things are going to "get better" can be scary. However, therapy is not always about just moving forward, but rather sometimes visiting the past or sitting in the present so that you can grow and feel more prepared for the future.
I specialize in working with college-aged students. I understand the unique pressures you face, from academic stress and relationships to social anxieties and figuring out your future path. I especially understand how confusing things can be when navigating independence for the first time, as well as, the onset of a mental health disorder. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey. I offer a warm, relational approach, creating a safe space where you can be heard and supported. Think of me as your partner in accountability – a listening ear when you need to vent, and a gentle nudge when you're ready to push yourself further. The goal is empowerment. I'll help you develop the skills and confidence to tackle challenges on your own, building the strength to become your best self.
Together, we will explore the challenges you experience and build new skills to improve quality of life. I have several years of experience with college/adult populations and student-athletes. I use a Holistic approach for treatment that emphasizes CBT and DBT to increase success when coping with stress. When these skills are built, I favor utilizing IFST to embrace all aspects of who you are and learn how each of those aspects can be used for you to become fullest version of yourself!

Immediate Openings Via Telehealth. We tend to seek therapy when the messages we received in the past no longer align with who we were or who we want to be. As a therapist, I strive to create a warm and engaging environment to identify and explore your concerns, so we can work towards your goals. My approach is compassionate, down to earth, funny (at least I think so), and individualized to your needs. We all can struggle with life transitions, among those are entering college and graduating. We also want a thriving life but can struggle with depressive thoughts, anxious thinking, grief or finding a sense of purpose. I'm a collaborative therapist who knows that you are the expert when it comes ... to you. I want to serve as a guide. I like to have a bit of a sense of humor and encourage with an emphasis on finding your strengths and what matters most to you.
