I am a Postdoctoral psychologist who works with individuals that are hoping to improve their relationship with themselves and with others. I have experience working with adults across the lifespan experiencing a variety of difficulties. My area of specialty is with clients who have a history of disordered eating patterns, as well as a history of trauma. In therapy I encourage clients to be curious about their experiences, and my hope is that together we will deepen our understanding of how your past may be currently impacting your present. My approach with clients is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe personal change occurs best when we notice how our experiences show up for us mentally and physically, so my work often involves active use of the mind-body connection. I use an integrated trauma-informed approach to treatment, which may include the use of somatic internal family systems, relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, feminist therapy and I incorporate techniques from CBT and DBT when appropriate. I provide embodied centered therapy for people struggling in their relationship with food, all with the goal for clients to foster awareness of self, connection with others, and to reconnect to their capacity for full-bodied engagement with the world. Additionally, I offer comprehensive psychological assessments that include both cognitive and personality assessment tools. These assessments are best suited for individuals who are wondering if they may have ADHD and can help to clarify any other mental health diagnostic questions. The results will be provided to you via a written report, which can be used to further your treatment or to justify accommodations to support your needs. I currently am only seeing clients virtually. Please reach out to connect and see if we’d be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of clinical experiences working with young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and trauma. I work with adults of all ages, but particularly enjoy working with college and graduate students. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hello and thank you for considering me to help you with what you are experiencing! I have been in this field since 2006, with a special interest in life transitions, women’s issues, spirituality, anxiety, depression, and helping people to find meaning and purpose in life.
I provide individual therapy, consultations, neuropsychological assessments, and group-based services for children, teens, and adults. Across services, I offer personalized, compassionate care and help individuals and families harness sources of strength and resilience. Throughout this process, clients are better able to handle and cope with difficult circumstances in a busy world. More specifically, I use evidence-based approaches, such as CBT or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to help clients address concerns and make changes that improve quality of life across contexts, including relationships with family or friends, school or work experiences, and overall wellbeing. Implicit to my practice is the belief that each one of us possesses the emotional wherewithal and many of the skills needed to navigate life’s journey; sometimes we just need to gain additional perspective and access workable strategies to move forward.
During your life, you may experience difficult periods of adjustment related to major life changes and/or losses, difficulty in relationships, and/or cultural/social differences in environmental contexts. These periods in your life may lead to or be related to general difficulty coping with life circumstance, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I provide a holistic approach to working with clients striving to understand them from an intrapsychic, interpersonal, and sociocultural perspective. In working with you, I endeavor to understand how your personality, relationships, and sociocultural identities and environmental contexts interact to affect your psychological functioning and wellbeing. Personal development through counseling/psychotherapy comes from feeling secure in a relational context to explore one's issues. Primary to this process is the establishment of a nurturing therapeutic relationship/alliance. In establishing a safe environment, I will assist you in experiencing more satisfying attitudes, relationships, and feeling more empowered. A major aspect of my work involves understanding how racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity affects one's psychosocial functioning. Understanding your sociocultural identities and how they inform and affect your life assists me in determining what interventions and techniques will be most appropriate for you.
Upon completing my fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center, I've devoted my career to Pediatric Psychology, with a specialization in young adult (18 - 25) issues: stress management, ADHD, anxiety, depression, social difficulties, academic issues, identity development, and career planning. Call anytime! I know how much courage it takes to reach out for help. We can schedule a consultation right away to talk about your path to wellness.
My core values are faith, family, social and economic justice. My worldview is quite simple. You see, I believe that everyone has a right to be in a good place mentally physically and spiritually. I find that I have evolved into a change agent - which is a natural profession for a social worker. The same steps that I have taken to secure my life, mentally physically and emotionally, are the very same steps I am willing to assist my patients/clients in taking. My specialties lie in my abilities to move a person or a family from a place of dysfunction to functionality. I strive to improve the quality of life those whom I counsel. My theoretical framework a solution focused, interwoven with resiliency theory, using a strength-based approach. I am just a chat away if you need me – 'how may I help you?"

The transition to college at any age can be challenging. Course load, social pressures and changes to friend network during this transition can cause anxiety, depression, burnout and relationship issues. These things can keep you awake at night, make it difficult to focus on your studies, lead you to engage in negative self-talk and unhealthy behaviors. I can help you develop coping strategies to help ease that transition so you can make healthy choices and achieve your educational goals.
