I help stressed out and anxious people of any gender to heal trauma, make work suck less, and get good at relationships. I’m an Denver LGBT therapist providing EMDR therapy with a decade of experience. I’m terrible at pop culture and I love puns. My goal for my clients is to have a sustainable life where you can thrive. I want you to feel like you can navigate what life throws at you, even if it’s hard. I’m deeply invested in finding out what works for you (vs. anyone else). I’m less likely to promote something as “healthy” in therapy and more likely to ask you how it’s working for you. I won’t look at you sideways when you drop your partner’s pronouns or ask me to use a new name for you. We’ll curse, cry, and probably (hopefully) laugh. We’ll be human together.

Im a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who specializes in helping teens and adults grow their confidence, foster self acceptance, and build healthy, meaningful connections. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, the Rocky Mountains provided a beautiful backdrop to a variety of educational and professional experiences. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver, where I obtained specialized training in psychological assessment, substance misuse, couples psychotherapy, and university counseling. After completing my training in New Orleans I have continued to provide mental health services for university students, individuals, and couples. I have extensive clinical experience with adolescents, emerging adults, middle age adults and over seven years of direct clinical service for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. A commitment to cultural humility and anti-racism remains a central value in my clinical practice. Individuals and couples of all races, religions, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities and relationship identities are welcome.

I am here to help. Feelings of sadness, stress, negative thoughts, and overwhelming struggles can sometimes be too difficult to fight on your own. Sometimes it takes someone else’s support for you to begin to make changes yourself. We can work together to support you in making your days great.
Having been a professor for over 30 years, I understand the stressors related to being a college student.
I identify as a Togolese immigrant, daughter, sister, fur-mom, and wife in an interracial marriage. These identities influence how I show up as a therapist and constantly evolve each day. The challenges I have faced have given me both the insight and desire to work with individuals, couples, and families through their hurdles and to help them find what is and isn’t their story. I believe in the idea of assisting individuals, couples & families of different backgrounds to find their path instead of feeling stuck and tied down to societal expectations or their past maladaptive patterns. Due to the unique makeup of our world, I use an integrative approach with my clients; this allows me to use modalities that best suit the need of my clients. I value providing warmth, kindness, empathy, and directness when needed. I hope this little bio reflects my passion for working with humans of all different backgrounds and the depth of sacredness I hold for being a part of your stories.
“The best way out is always through." -Robert Frost This quote exemplifies my philosophy toward counseling, emotional healing and personal growth. When we are struggling with emotional issues, relationship distress or transitions in our lives we often need to work through these to gain insight, relief, emotional growth and healing. My approach to treating individuals is informed by my training in ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS, Schema Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology. My approach to treating couples is informed by my training in PACT, Gottman Method, EFT and EFFT. I am Jodi Seidel a Licensed Professional Counselor. I enjoy working with Couples & Individuals experiencing a wide variety of issues such as; emotional distress, transitional and relationship issues, binge eating disorder, attachment injury and trauma. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership that I am honored to be walking through with you. I provide a supportive environment allowing clients to first work through problematic symptoms, gain relief, then curiously explore underlying issues that will lead to a deeper understanding of self, relationships, emotional repair and healing.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Niyama Integrative Therapy. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and complex relational patterns. Many of the clients I work with are capable and high-functioning on the outside, while internally carrying chronic stress, unresolved trauma, or emotional exhaustion. You may be navigating burnout, relationship strain, identity shifts, or long-standing family dynamics that still shape how you move through the world.
I have been working in the field since 2013 and from my experience working in hospital and residential treatment centers, I became interested in addressing trauma. Trauma can come in many forms, has an impact on all of our systems. Trauma is on a continuum of stress and includes severe stress as well as stress over an extensive period of time. Sometimes, we're not aware of this and it can show up as anxiety. I offer EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Hypnotherapy. Life has a way of showing us where our work is and I am honored to have been a part of many people's recovery.
I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate identity, especially when you’re facing external pressures or complicated family dynamics. In our work together, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself, explore your experiences, and feel seen and supported. Whether you're coming out, grappling with internalized struggles, or just trying to find your place in the world, I’m here to help you build confidence, resilience, and live authentically—on your own terms.
I have been in private practice for 20 years, with my specialty focusing on individuals resolving historic traumas and women balancing all of the complications of womanhood in a fast paced, demanding world. In all of my therapeutic work I talk about "traumas". Traumas can be events or messages we internalize about ourselves from the past. Traumas can be brilliantly adaptive: helping us to become incredible, impressive humans. Our traumas can also hold us back in many ways that may be limiting our happiness: the other side of the proverbial coin.
Life has been so unpredictable these days. The constant ups, downs, and changes make us feel so depleted and uncertain. No matter how hard you try, it's like you can never regain your footing and are constantly stumbling along. You're not sure which way you are headed and you just want some clarity and direction. You want a space you can go to think through your thoughts and finally take a deep cleansing breath. Let's take that breath together and begin the process of finding your footing again. Based on my years of training, experience, and skills, I believe that the path to healing begins with you, your unique journey through life, and unbecoming parts that no longer serve you. In our work, I will walk with you through this healing journey to find who you are meant to become on the other side. It's time for you to take that deep breath and begin moving one foot in front of the other. You have struggled to find your direction long enough. Let's work together to find your footing again, and get back on your journey through life.
When you’re the type of person who “shows up” for everyone else, it can be hard to admit you’re burned out. Helping is how you’ve learned to cope, connect and stay safe. I treat depression, anxiety, and burnout for people (15 years and older) who are too busy pleasing others to help themselves. My clients often find themselves having sudden health issues or lack of concentration and get into an identity crisis! "Who am I if I can't pull off miracles every day?!?" I offer a combination of psychotherapy and art therapy, which works well for people who don’t know where to start. I also integrate financial therapy into sessions because money issues are often unspoken roadblocks to personal growth. Art therapy is for all ages, and I primarily work with teens and adults. If a little part of you did a cartwheel when you read “art therapy”, it just might be a good fit for you. If another little part of you also got scared and nervous, that’s completely normal. You won't be judged about talent or skill, it's really about the process, not the product. Many clients have big new insights into their lives by working with images. When you've been running on empty, it's time to fill your tank. I'm a recovered pleaser too!
We are a group of therapists in Denver who have a passion for helping young adults live their best lives. We provide a safe space to process past trauma and current life events in order to learn from them and figure out how to heal and avoid toxic patterns moving forward. We believe that therapy works best when it involves back and forth conversation and active involvement on our part. We aim to be warm, funny, empathetic, and create a strong relationship where there are no "off limit" topics.
