I have a passion for working with clients who have experienced or continue to struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, substance use, and grief. The majority of my clinical experience has been working with clients in their mid-to-late teens through early adulthood, however I look forward to working with clients of any age, population, and background. I have experience working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds. I have had the opportunity to work in the outpatient treatment setting, as well as in community health, private practice, and in public school settings. I work primarily from person centered and solution focused therapy approaches. My greatest strength as a counselor is being able to sit with my client when difficult situations or emotions arise and provide a safe, non-judgmental, welcoming environment. It is important to me to honor my relationship with my clients and meet them where they are currently in their life's journey. l look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you!

Hi, Are you the ‘good’ daughter/son, the ‘good’ wife/husband, or the ‘good’ mother/father? Does your life look amazing from the outside but feels less than okay on the inside? It’s important that you have the support of someone who sees and understands you and who can respond to what you are going through. I want to help you discover why you are feeling the way you are, and more importantly, teach you the tools to help move you away from suffering, and towards inner peace. As your therapist I will be beside you every step of the way. Together we will navigate towards the joy, happiness, and self-acceptance you deserve. I specialize in brain-based therapies, such as Brainspotting; these specific modalities of treatment focus on the neurobiological variables (neuro networks) of each person to create change, specifically - neuro experiential change. Because understanding the why of behavior is not enough, for new behavior to be created new neural pathways need to be formed. I'm a bilingual in Spanish clinician with 20+ years of experience working in mental health with extensive training and credentials. However, I believe that you are the expert in your own inner world, and I am here to be a safe, grounding, and validating companion. “Nothing could ever be broken that we can't fix together" - Mirabel from Encanto

Counseling should be affordable and accessible to everyone. We all need an ally to lean on at times. Struggles and hardships can be a natural part of life. We all need support as we navigate through stressful times. I see my role as a therapist as one of a caregiver, a provider of strength, and a collaborative problem-solver. I have experience with a wide variety of people, including individuals without a diagnosis to those diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and depression. My practice is LGBT safe and affirming. I also have extensive experience helping people throughout the processes of both voluntary and involuntary termination of pregnancy. I enjoy providing support to my clients in an open-minded, encouraging, relaxed, non-judgmental way. It is important to me that my clients know that I support them, and that I do not judge. Life can be tough and overwhelming at times. Seeking counseling is a brave step toward a new outlook, I applaud you for that decision, and I am here to help. I pride myself on being accepting, easygoing, discreet, and affordable. I am currently accepting new clients, and I have a flexible schedule, so if you’re considering counseling, please call me. I’m happy to answer questions, provide information, and see if we’re a good fit. Supervised by Beck A Munsey, PhD, LPC-S
I help teens and adults with anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and sleep issues break free from self-limiting beliefs and patterns, so they can live with more freedom and purpose. You might look successful on the outside, but inside, you're caught in a push-pull between productivity and paralysis—swinging between overworking and procrastination, unable to truly rest even when you're drained. Maybe stress is showing up in your body—tension, headaches, trouble sleeping. Or perhaps past experiences have left you feeling disconnected from yourself and others, wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to help you quiet self-criticism, process past experiences, and reconnect with yourself. For insomnia, I offer CBT-I. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, or sleep struggles, therapy gives you the space to step out of survival mode, build new skills, and feel more like yourself again. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re the right fit. With telehealth sessions available in 40 states and Washington, DC, and in-person appointments in Dallas, therapy has never been more accessible. Ready to take the next step? With over 10 years of experience in pastoral counseling, I bring a compassionate and grounded presence to the counseling relationship. My background includes walking with individuals through grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as exploring questions of faith, identity, and meaning. These experiences have shaped my approach as one rooted in empathy, insight, and hope. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and completing my practicum at AE Counseling under the supervision of Ami Evans. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your story, reclaim your voice, and move toward healing and growth. Whether you’re navigating stress, loss, relationship challenges, or spiritual concerns, I will meet you with compassion and respect. I believe deeply in the power of connection and in honoring each person’s unique path. I work with adolescents and adults suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, women’s issues, narcissistic abuse, attachment issues, and personality disorders. I also work with couples to improve communication, develop healthy conflict-resolution skills, and create a long-term family vision and mission that restores harmony in everyday life. I believe psychoeducation and a personalized mental health care plan empower clients to make lasting changes quickly. I create a unique treatment plan for each client with specific, measurable goals. I use therapeutic breathwork, CBT, and DBT to help clients quickly reduce symptoms while evaluating emotional and behavioral patterns that may require longer-term therapy. I approach personality disorders, attachment dysfunction, and identity confusion from a developmental and psychodynamic perspective and have experience treating borderline, narcissistic, and schizoid personality disorders. I earned my B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and after a career as a business executive, returned to school in 2020, earning a Master of Science degree in clinical mental health counseling from Tarleton State University. I am an alumna of the national women’s leadership academy, Leadership America, and was selected in 2015 to be a patient advocate for the National Center for Healthcare Research in Washington, D.C. I am a writer, public speaker, and patient-first healthcare activist, and have published many written works about the dangers of using pharmaceuticals and medical devices cleared (not fully approved) through the FDA's lax 510k marketing process. I enjoy gardening, all forms of creativity and self-expression, love to learn, and believe that where there is humor, there is healing. My husband and I live in Central Texas and enjoy camping with our two dogs and parakeet. We have two adult sons and three granddaughters and believe in the restoration of family relationships as a path to well-being.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas who works with young, middle-aged, and senior adults who struggle with anxiety and depression. I studied at Lubbock Christian University to earn a master's in clinical mental health counseling and at Lamar University to earn a master's in education administration. I have experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, and have been practicing as an LPC for four years.
Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, hardworking, and care deeply about doing well — but inside, they often feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected. Some are managing big life changes like moving away from home, starting new relationships, or facing academic pressure. Others are dealing with past losses, identity questions, or mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, or self-criticism. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you don't have to figure it out by yourself. I help students untangle complicated emotions, learn practical tools to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with what truly matters to them. Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you build a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and meaningful.
College-age young adults experience their own unique challenges. In a time of new independence and exploration, there can be a lot of pressure and expectations on young adults to have their lives “figured out”. You may experience difficulties adjusting to a new environment and the challenges that come with that, such as moving away from home, managing your college course load, making friends, etc. Young adulthood also brings about new responsibilities related to school, work/career, and finances, like maintaining your own schedule and paying bills. Many of the college students I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, stress management, among other challenges. I provide young adult clients with the space to process and unpack their challenges, establish a trustworthy therapeutic relationship, and support them in building up their ability to cope with stress, understand their emotions, and meet their needs.
