My clients come to me with a wide variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, confusion, low self-esteem, life transitions and adjustments, impulsive behaviors (e.g., substance use, binge eating, self-harm), etc. There is no problem too big or too small, and you are brave for considering therapy. No matter what you are searching for, I believe change is possible and therapy can help. I utilize evidence-based interventions to help my clients build a life that they find more sustainable, meaningful, and enjoyable. I am skilled at helping my clients find balance by challenging them to make necessary changes while also working toward accepting the things that are unchangeable, such as our past. You don't have to know if therapy is right for you just yet, it is ok to be uncertain. I meet my clients where ever they are at in life, and I offer warmth, safety, validation, non-judgement, and a little bit of humor. Reach out and let's see if we would make a good team.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Newtown, PA

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Newtown, PA, certified in trauma. I am passionate about supporting adults and teens who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, sadness, loneliness, disconnection, panic attacks, or overwhelming stress. I also work with couples who want to strengthen their bond or work through challenging conflicts. My mission is to provide a warm and understanding space where clients can find the tools they need to move forward in a healthy and fulfilling way. I specialize in trauma therapy because I know how deeply it can affect every part of a person's life. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, I help individuals explore how trauma shapes their thoughts and behaviors. Together, we work on grounding and coping techniques that foster resilience, empowering clients to regain a sense of control and safety. My approach is about more than just managing symptoms—it's about helping clients develop healthier, more positive ways of thinking and living. I support them in recognizing and changing negative thought patterns, building coping skills that encourage self-compassion, and fostering deeper connections to themselves and others. I believe in working collaboratively, setting clear and achievable mental health goals, and guiding clients toward lasting change and personal growth. Sessions are usually 50 minutes long, but if you feel like you've shared everything and are ready to conclude, we'll end the session when it feels right for you. Therapy is about your needs and pace, but as your therapist, I will guide and support you throughout the process. I offer both weekly and biweekly appointments, depending on what best suits your journey. The environment I create is warm, empathic, and caring—ensuring you feel safe, understood, and supported as we work together toward your goals. I also offer telehealth therapy, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space.

College can be a very difficult time for us. We may face some changes and also notice new expectations for ourselves during these transitional moments. It is highly likely to feel confused at times and unsure of where we see ourselves next. I want to help you become the best version of yourself so that you are better suited for making these decisions and feel comfortable with them! My Supervisor is Bill Coffey, License number: CW014371

Anxiety is complicated - its like the house guest that shows up unannounced and doesn't know when to leave. Anxiety can sabotage picture perfect moments and sometimes prevent opportunities from even getting off the ground. Other times, it allows us to recognize when we're in danger and helps us spring into action. How do you know when anxiety is serving you well or setting you up? My clients often seek therapy to manage anxiety because they no longer want anxiety taking them by surprise. They want to manage their anxiety in a healthy way, so that they can enjoy their lives. Together, we work towards creating a game plan that works best for you to achieve anxiety relief. Anxiety can go unnoticed for a long-time, especially in a college setting where high-performance is expected. We will talk about how high-functioning anxiety shows up in your life. Procrastination and avoidance paired with perfectionism is a winning combination for someone to misallocate their energy and efforts and burnout in the process. If this rings true to you, I would be honored to chat with you about I can help you live your life with a little more ease.

As a counselor, I utilize both relational and body-mind approaches. One of my preferred modalities is Somatic Experiencing, which is a therapeutic approach used to address trauma-related stress responses. I enjoy working with adult clients of all ages, backgrounds, and therapeutic goals. I have a particular interest in working with clients looking to resolve trauma, address relational or attachment issues, and to explore content around identity and sexuality. I come from a social justice and queer background. I work to provide competent and accessible services to people experiencing oppression, and likewise seek to support folks in decolonization work.

Hello students! I know what it’s like to be you. I received both my undergraduate degree in Sociology and Master of Social Work degree from WCU. I enjoy helping people of all ages, particularly young adults, who want to address parts of themselves that are limiting their full potential. You know something doesn’t feel right but you aren’t quite sure; or maybe you know what’s wrong and want to make change but are afraid of what that might look like. I provide a safe, comfortable, and empowering space for those willing to explore.
