Therapists for college students near Temple University
Our mission is to improve our client’s quality of life by offering affordable, compassionate, person-centered, and culturally responsive care to individuals across the lifespan
Asking for help or support can be scary. Making that step to get therapy takes a great deal of strength. Therapy gives people the opportunity to develop effective and healthy responses to life's stressors. I work to create a safe holding environment to allow you to feel comfortable being yourself. I work with clients to help them develop awareness over their behaviors, thoughts, patterns, and feelings. I like to get to the source rather than just focus on the symptoms. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship stress, parenting, ADHD, identity exploration, assertive communication, self-esteem, and grief. We will work at your pace. It's about progress, not perfection. I work with you to help you empower yourself. I offer free 15 minute consultations. If you would like a free consultation, you may email or call me. You are in charge of who you want to work with. Reach each out if you would like to explore working together.
I work really well with "type A" people with anxiety - those who are pragmatic and practical and used to getting stuff done, but now are finding it harder to make decisions and get as much done as they used to. I also work well with people who are accused of being "robotic" or "without feelings." Couples have claimed to actually enjoy working with me for premarital counseling, or figuring out how to deal with their parents/siblings/friends who might not be in favor of their match. In my office I try to speak plainly and say what needs to be said - you won't feel like you need to watch your language or censor yourself in any way.

Whether you're facing the stress of academic demands, adjusting to newfound independence, or struggling with anxiety, depression, or uncertainty about the future—you're not alone. I specialize in supporting young adults through life’s transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll work to understand your challenges, build resilience, and develop tools that empower you to thrive both personally and academically. This is a safe space to explore who you are, where you're going, and how to get there—at your own pace.
If you are the person, everyone turns to, who do YOU turn to? You give everything to everyone else but never have time for you. It gets tiring always being the ''strong'' one. I see you. You might be struggling to get through the day or question yourself and your worth. This can look like anxiety, depression, problems recovering from a traumatic experience as an adult or as a child. I want to help you know what you DESERVE. Find the life you want and be more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and choices. Let's look inward and do this difficult but deeply important and rewarding work together. Currently, I can see clients who reside in Pennsylvania, California and North Carolina.
I am dedicated to working collaboratively with clients to assist in their wellness goals. I firmly believe that each individual has it within themselves to improve and achieve their desired happiness. As their therapist, I am there to listen, reflect and provide additional insight into the current situation to empower the client to reach their optimal potential. I have completed specialized training through the Post Partum Stress Center as well as Post Partum Support International. Additionally, I have obtained the Perinatal Mental Health Certification through PSI. I specialize in working within women's issues and coping with significant life transition. Working with a therapist during life transitions can increase resilience, boost confidence and minimize post-traumatic stress.

You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. My name is Rachel Noderer and I have spent the past 10 years helping individuals develop a stronger sense of compassion for themselves and mastery over their own identity. I work with folks who may be struggling with a lack of purpose, low self esteem, anxiety, or difficulty managing relationships with friends and loved ones. As we work together, my hope is that you will gradually feel more centered in your sense of self. You'll feel like you are making decisions more thoughtfully and that you are acting in accordance with your values. While I tailor my specific therapeutic interventions to meet your needs, my preference is for a conversational non-directive approach to explore and discover underlying patterns that may be influencing your experiences. I am a person-centered therapist first and foremost - which means I prioritize placing you and all of your intersecting identities at the center of the story. You are the expert in your own life and I'm here to walk beside you, provide feedback, and most importantly provide you the space you need to figure things out. Therapy with me may feel like sitting down with a friend who is your biggest cheerleader. I value curiosity, humor, and reflection in therapy and I strive to create lots of space for those qualities in our work together. I am queer-affirming, trans-affirming, sex-positive, and believe in practicing Health at Every Size. I also have experience in and am comfortable working with individuals in the kink/BDSM community as well as individuals practicing consensual non-monogamy.
My style is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and driven by a desire for you to feel seen and empowered. I welcome adults of all ages and common presenting concerns, and have particular experience supporting individuals who have lived through difficult or traumatic experiences. Using an integrative and tailored approach, I will support you in developing strategies to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, while also exploring what it means to live a meaningful and authentic life. Whether you’re navigating life changes, feeling stuck, or wanting to better understand who you are, I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward what matters most.
