When we are facing life stressors, we often focus on addressing the immediate symptoms. This can be very adaptive. However, if we only ever focus on the immediate symptoms of our struggles, then we may never recognize or have the possibility of healing the cause of our pain. I believe that therapy provides a powerful space to explore, understand, and ultimately heal the root causes of our struggles. I approach my work with insight from a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, IFS, Solution Focused Therapy, & Attachment Theory. I am also formally trained in EMDR which I can incorporate into therapy. I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to assist clients dealing with the impacts of homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, and misogyny and am versed in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and chronic pain. I come to my work not merely as an outsider with expertise, but as a neurodivergent and transgender individual myself who has lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from. It has been my privilege to help a wide variety of clients, and I look forward to learning how I can help you too!

Hi! I'm Julie Rodgers, Licensed Professional Counselor. I have much experience working in college counseling centers and am passionate about supporting young adults successfully navigate their college experience (academic, socially, emotionally, financially). I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to increase mindfulness/acceptance and increase skills to improve emotion regulation, interpersonal skills, and distress tolerance. I incorporate other approaches as well and like to keep session stimulating and fun with art-based activities! I am trained in trauma-informed yoga and incorporate mind-body experience to process traumatic events. Our center runs DBT groups weekly, so that is a wonderful option in addition to individual therapy for those looking for group connection. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi there, I've been working with individuals with different stress in life as a counselor since I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. I have been seeing students who are struggling with academic stress, graduation anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, acculturation, identity issues, and some mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, etc.
I’m a Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I help people find calm and clarity in the middle of life’s challenges. My passion is helping you see yourself in a new light—beyond the stress, self-doubt, or pain that may be holding you back. Over the years, I’ve worked with people of all ages, from children to adults, and I have a special place in my heart for those living with cognitive challenges. I adapt my approach to meet your unique needs, using strategies that make therapy practical, meaningful, and effective for you. I truly enjoy connecting with people. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and person-centered—focused on your strengths and what’s already working in your life. I’ll walk beside you as we build skills, explore solutions, and create space for you to express yourself freely and without judgment. Life can be overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, frustration, or relationships, we’ll work together to find tools and insights that help you feel more grounded, capable, and fulfilled.
The families and students who thrive in my practice often arrive seeking support for the very real challenges they face—challenges that can feel isolating, overwhelming, or misunderstood in other settings. Many of my clients are navigating: Autism and the need for a more affirming, strength-based approach that values neurodiversity. ADHD and the daily push-pull of focus, impulsivity, and emotional intensity. The lingering effects of trauma, where safety, trust, and connection need to be rebuilt. Executive function struggles that impact school, home routines, and relationships. Emotional regulation challenges, especially when big feelings lead to big reactions. A deep desire to improve family communication, but feeling stuck in old patterns. What they share is not just the presence of these challenges—but also a commitment to change, a curiosity about their own growth, and families who want to better understand and support one another. In our work together, we don’t just manage behaviors—we build insight, confidence, and skills. We make space for emotional expression, teach tools that empower independence, and strengthen co-regulation and communication across the whole family system.
