I specialize in effective therapy for adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and assertiveness issues. I enjoy working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and other minority populations. I have seven years of experience in working with college and university students. This has sparked my interest in working on topics such as life transition, career exploration, and examinations of one's identities. Many clients have expressed appreciation for my authenticity, warmth, and caring nature. I tend to integrate somatic and cognitive/behavioral modalities.

There's open areas for therapeutic yoga and movement activities as well, offering all-around options that best fit your needs on any given day.

Currently accepting members for the Body Acceptance Group for Woman on Zoom. Our goal in group is to help you learn to connect with your body in a shame-free, loving, and enthusiastic way. I hope to help you achieve this through: *Critically evaluating the ways our negative view of bodies has been influenced by our upbringing, peers, and society *Deconstructing internalized body shame *Removing body-shame barriers that stop us from doing activities that bring us joy *Exploring what healthy looks like at every size *Exploring how we can see our bodies as more than objects *Becoming more mindful *Learning to have compassion for ourselves and others. ------- My goal is to help make counseling feel comfortable, safe, and at your pace. We will work collaboratively to help you find your strength, feel empowered and confident, and rediscover meaning and purpose in your life. Talking through past or present tough experiences or hurts can be difficult. It’s tempting to try and ignore them or minimize how they are impacting you. Therapy can be a safe space to help you take the time needed to address your feelings in a way that will help you truly heal from the hurt, and discover how to engage with yourself in a healthy way that enables you to move forward. Therapy with me is a nonjudgmental and collaborative space. I believe that the answers you are looking for are likely already within you, but therapy can help illuminate what those solutions could be. I work in session to address emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal relationships, and use mindfulness and other tools that many people have found help them cope with challenging life circumstances. I also lead a group called Body Acceptance for Women, where you'll learn to connect with your body in a shame-free, loving, and enthusiastic way. I recognize that scheduling therapy for the first time can sometimes feel like an intimidating process. My hope is that you will trust that counseling can have a powerful and positive impact on your life. If you are bothered with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, body image issues, feeling unworthy, struggling with relationships, or any other challenge in life, let’s talk about it.

I primarily support LGBTQIA+ and/or BIPOC adults who struggle with being their full, authentic selves navigate challenging systems and relationships. Clients often come to me worried that by making meaningful changes in their lives, they are being selfish. They might find themselves in work environments that are unsupportive, relationships they feel unfulfilled by, and friendships that seem unbalanced. It's a frustrating cycle, and they want their lives to be different, but are unsure how. After working with me, clients find themselves feeling more able to care for themselves, find joy in being with others, and feel more at peace with themselves. I approach therapy collaboratively and value humor, identity, and compassionate honesty in the therapeutic relationship. I also provide Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems treatment for trauma and provide letters for gender-affirming medical services. I know how frustrating it is to be unheard and unseen. I would love to help you explore how to better engage with yourself and others to become more authentically you. I have a social justice orientation and am affirming of all genders, sexualities, body sizes, and differing relationship structures. If any of the above spoke to you, let's chat!

Life experiences, anxiety, loss, relationship challenges, and life transitions can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the lives we want. I believe that healing happens when people feel heard, understood, and empowered to reclaim authorship of their lives. I view counseling as a collaborative process that honors people's lived experiences and capacity for growth. I do my best to create an affirming and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences, uncover strengths, make meaning of their stories, and take actions toward living lives that feel more authentic and aligned with their values. My counseling approach is integrative and informed by critical ecological perspectives, drawing from person-centered, narrative, cognitive behavioral, and existential therapies. I care deeply about fairness, justice, and understanding how the systems and environments around us shape mental health and well-being.

I strive to provide an environment of safety, acceptance, and empowerment. My approach is described as easy-going, direct and nonjudgmental. I respect my clients’ needs and welcome the opportunity to work with people of diverse backgrounds, identities, and relationships. My goal is to help you find relief through expanded self-awareness, healing of old wounds, increased connectedness, development of practical tools, and shifting out of old/unhelpful patterns. People often come into therapy with coping mechanisms that no longer serve them. I work to find balance by providing support as well as challenging you, to encourage growth while also promoting compassion for who and where you are now. I really value being a safe person for my clients in a world that can feel unsafe. I have expertise and a passion for trauma recovery, identity exploration (including gender & sexual identity), navigating systems of oppression, attachment, and relational concerns. I’ve specialized in EMDR for 11 years, and utilize mindfulness, CBT, polyvagal theory, ego state, and DBT- with my approach being tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

I help folks ages 18+ in NY, CT, OR, and FL who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. I am a compassionate and nonjudgmental therapist who prioritizes creating a space in which my clients feel “held,” heard, and helped. My approach is personalized, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. My practice is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and utilizes a range of techniques including awareness of sensations in the body, narrative interventions, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and that meaningful transformations take place in the context of safe and supportive relationships, when we feel seen, understood, and accepted unconditionally. Together, we will process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to reduce suffering and increase joy, fulfillment, and success. The bottom line: I meet you where you are—with patience, warmth, kindness, and insight. I will assist in identifying and strengthening your own inner resources and wisdom, so we can work more effectively with challenges and pain on the road to a more satisfying life. You don’t have to do this alone.

I am a licensed psychologist in Eugene, Oregon with a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute. I trained at Santa Clara University for a predoctoral internship and at Cornell University for my postdoctoral residency. In the past, I have worked in a substance use residential treatment center, in a primary care clinic for health psychology training, at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and at both community college and university settings. I have experience with helping individuals address trauma, depression, anxiety, and increase the ability to manage emotions. I also can help with adjustment to medical diagnoses and making behavioral changes in consultation with your physicians. I have done extensive work focused on multicultural experiences and can help with navigating race-related stress, understanding immigrant, first generation, or multiracial identities, and LGBT identity concerns. I provide therapy that is integrative, but primarily draws from Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance-commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Cognitive processing therapy for trauma (CPT), and schema therapy. I also strongly believe that therapy must be grounded in multicultural understanding of identity and human functioning. When working with me, you will share your experiences with a warm, compassionate, safe person, while collaborating toward your goals in concrete ways. We will address the issues that are most important to you in counseling while you continue to make change in your life. It is important that therapy is working for you, so we will check in about the process of therapy and your own sense of progress on a regular basis. Through our work together, my goal as a therapist is to empower you to enrich your life with positive change. We will address your thoughts and feelings, and endeavor to expand your capacity to accept and cope with your emotions. Together, we will strive to reduce unwanted behaviors and to deepen your understanding of yourself and others.

College is a time of huge transitions, and it’s easy to feel anxious, stressed, or unsure where you stand. If you're struggling with overwhelming worry (anxiety), feeling stuck after a tough transition (like starting school or a breakup), grappling with past trauma, or just trying to figure out challenging relationships, you've come to the right place. Your Therapy, Your Tools My practice is built on the belief that you already have what you need within you (though it may not feel like it, right now) —we just need to clear out all the noise and find and focus on what actually works for you. We'll ease your mind: We use practical, science-backed strategies to help you unhook from negative thought spirals and calm that constant feeling of being "on edge." We'll discover and heal the root causes : We'll gently explore the "parts" of you that are feeling anxious, unclear, or worn out, and use powerful processing methods to reduce the intensity of recent or past trauma or fear (like EMDR and IFS). We'll help you adjust: Whether you're dealing with the stress of major life transitions or trying to set healthier boundaries in relationships, we'll create space for you to process the change and build a stronger sense of self. We'll get you grounded: I integrate the calming power of nature-based tools (in or out of the office) to help your nervous system slow down, allowing you to find a peaceful space even when deadlines are looming. We’ll work together, at your own pace, to move you from feeling overwhelmed to thriving on campus and beyond. Ready to take a breath and start building a college experience that feels authentic and manageable? Let's connect.

I believe that approach to care should adapt to the client which means I am informed by various therapeutic modalities to support you in reaching your goals. This includes Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Parts-Work (Internal Family Systems), CBT, DBT and affirming therapy. My passion lies in working with individuals 13 and up who have experienced trauma; including chronic and developmental trauma. As a non-binary and queer individual myself, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, and believe in providing an affirming, culturally humble and responsive environment where you can express yourself freely without judgement or confusion. When working with families, I believe in drawing on the families own strengths to foster healthier communication and connections informed by your culture and traditions. If you're wanting to start this journey, please feel free to reach out. I would be honored to be invited in to support you. I believe mental health care should be accessible. I offer a sliding scale fee, with individual sessions as low as $48/session.
