I am a life transition therapist. I help adults overcome anxiety and the unknown in order to step into new seasons of life with confidence and hope. Transitions can be exhausting. A breakup, leaving your country or the place you used to live or work, losing your health, starting college or grad school are moments when your inner coping resources could fail. Also, when you lose a loved one, you may feel estranged and angry for a long period, and traumatized too. Finding a safe space to heal and learn new coping strategies can make a difference. Working with me you will learn new tools to navigate into safe emotional shores. I have worked for 16 years treating anxious and depressed mood, trauma, the integration of contents of dreams and nightmares, somatic and relationship issues, themes of personal growth. My approach is psychodynamic and integrative, promoting a body-mind-spirit connection. I do trauma-informed, attachment, body focused, and cognitive behavioral interventions. It has been my privilege to hold the space for those who are in deep emotional pain, witness their wisdom as they make meaning of their suffering until they feel ready to move on. I will be a trustworthy and respectful listener during your healing journey, and we will work together in a cooperative manner.

Currently accepting new clients. I offer an affirming space for individuals and couples to explore identity, relationships, and emotional challenges. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and certified in EMDR, integrating both to support healing from trauma, deepen self-understanding, and foster authentic connections. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating multigenerational trauma, anxiety, identity development, and life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting people as they unlearn old patterns, build healthier relationships, and create lives that feel more aligned and fulfilling. My approach is centered on helping you express yourself openly and without judgment. Whether you're processing trauma, exploring your identity, or seeking healthier relationships, I offer a collaborative, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming space to move toward self-acceptance, resilience, and meaningful change. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and reaching out is a brave first step. If any part of this resonates with you, I would be honored to connect and see how I can support you in the ways that matter most.

I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. Therapy is not just about treating symptoms; it's a journey of reclaiming who you are beneath the survival strategies, expectations, and inherited stories. I specialize in working with people who feel disconnected from their authentic selves – people who are aching and ready to live with more alignment, clarity, and inner freedom. My role is to serve as a guide: someone who walks beside you as you navigate the terrain of healing, insight, and transformation. Whether you're working through complex trauma, military-related trauma, religious wounding, the aftermath of abuse, anxiety, depression, or the unique challenges of neurodivergence – I offer a space where ALL parts of you are welcome. My approach is deeply person-centered: I believe you are the expert of your own experience. Together, we’ll collaborate to shape a path that reflects your goals, values, and inner wisdom. Using a trauma-informed and integrative style, I draw from modalities like Jungian depth work, parts-work, and narrative reframing. I often incorporate symbol, story, and guided imagery to support deeper insight and self-connection. For those who are spiritually inclined, I also enjoy weaving in faith-based or meaning-centered exploration. As someone who is neurodivergent, I am also passionate about supporting other neurodivergent folks. I offer a shame-free, identity-affirming space where difference is not pathologized, but honored.

We move through our days like houses filled with locked rooms, some we have never entered, some we have sealed off ourselves. We tell ourselves stories about why we cannot move forward, about the things that press against us—unseen but insistent. And yet, no one is truly alone. We are shaped by the hands and voices of others, by the echoes of what was said and unsaid. Change, is not a solitary act. My work is to sit with you in the quiet, to help you unlatch the doors, to sweep away the dust and debris of what holds you back. You do not need to become someone else—only to step fully into yourself. I also specialize in guiding those with ADHD through the labyrinth of daily life and helping people find clarity in their careers.

Dr. Emily Rademan
Psychologist
Colorado Springs, CO

Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
