Hi there! My name is Brianna, and I intertwine my experiences as a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, perpetual student, community organizer, and insights from my own mental health journey into my holistic practice. I aim to provide an engaging and warm environment where together we can access tools to help you cope with stressors; set healthy boundaries and improve communication to fuel connection and build relationships; step into your emotions to better regulate them; reprocess past traumatic experiences; and strengthen your attunement and awareness to your body. You have the innate power to heal yourself, I’m simply here to guide and empower you along the way. I use techniques from multiple modalities, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing (SE), internal family systems (IFS), intuitive eating, and feminist therapy, while always adding a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens. Together we can collaborate to tailor an approach that best addresses your needs in an environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. Please reach out for a free clarity call if you are interested in investing in yourself and working together!

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just need a safe space to explore your emotions, I offer a nonjudgmental, empathetic environment where you can heal and grow. My approach is tailored to your unique needs, focusing on practical solutions and emotional support. For over 30 years, I have been working together with individuals and families to help strengthen their ability to cope with stressful and challenging times.
College can be exciting — and overwhelming. If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or just not like yourself, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space to talk through challenges like anxiety, life transitions, and relationship struggles. Virtual sessions make it easy to fit therapy into your busy schedule.
In my practice, I work with a diverse range of clients, each bringing unique stories, strengths, and challenges. Trauma can surface in many forms such as anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships or within oneself. My work focuses on creating a space rooted in safety, empowerment, and emotional insight, where you can begin to reconnect with yourself. My holistic, trauma-informed, and individualized approach draws from modalities including DBT, IFS, and CBT. Together, we will reframe unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotion regulation, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Through a strength-based and solution-focused lens, I help clients nurture the parts of themselves that need healing, foster self-compassion, and build a more positive sense of self and overall well-being. No matter where you are on your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping you build resilience, deepen self-connection, and move toward thriving.
I am a clinical psychologist specializing in working with young adults and students. I spent 10 years on staff at various university counseling centers around the country and now work in private practice doing individual psychotherapy in Illinois and New York. My approach combines my education, training, and own life experience to work with individuals collaboratively, with a focus on how to meaningfully and healthfully navigate life events. While trained as a generalist to provide treatment for a variety of mental health concerns my clinical specialties include working with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship/family distress, life transitions, grief/loss, and stress management.
I am a Bilingual/Bicultural therapist who takes pride in working with clients of diverse backgrounds. As your therapist my goal is to work with you in a collaborative way, using a culturally humble lens and awareness that "one size does not fit all." In my practice I work with Adolescents and Young Adults in an effort towards identifying solutions that promote growth, healing and life satisfaction through use of the therapeutic relationship. I treat individuals with a range of life struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and life transitions. Utilizing a collaborative approach and evidence based treatments, I will tailor my technique based on your individual needs. Aspects of mindfulness, trauma-informed and insight-oriented approaches may also be used. I am a compassionate and thoughtful clinician that is committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic space. My goal is to help you find relief through developing an ability to manage and cope with the complexities and challenges one experiences with everyday life.
Men need help too. Are you struggling with big transitions in your life? Having difficulty calming intense emotions or just struggling to navigate the day to day? Life can be filled with challenges and disappointments that impact our state of mind, (our brain?), and our capacity to manage everyday tasks. If this is you, I would love to help you learn ways to understand and cope with these big and challenging moments. Therapy is a healing process and together we can process emotions, create small, realistic changes, and help you become more confident in everyday life. My aim is to create a comfortable and accepting environment, and a space for you to feel supported. Throughout this process we will also explore how our brain and mind are impacted by significant events in our lives. This approach will allow us to redefine not only how you view yourself but even the world around you! With the incorporation of mindfulness, meditation, and a person-centered approach we can take this journey together. Please feel free to contact me to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation or to answer any questions. You are never alone on this journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
I believe a therapist's job is to help people get "unstuck." All behavior serves a purpose. Even the most painful or confusing patterns often began as ways to cope with overwhelming circumstances. In therapy, we'll explore these parts of yourself and work to deepen self-awareness. Over time, you will come to recognize that while your emotional responses once made perfect sense, they may no longer serve you in the same way. Therapy is not about erasing or lingering in the past, but about making meaning from it. At the heart of my work is a belief in the healing power of feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll turn inward with curiosity and compassion so you can move through the world with greater clarity, coherence, and connection.
Due to licensing rules, I can only work with clients in New York State! Hi, my name is Alia and I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor after my own experience being diagnosed with bipolar one disorder during my undergrad college years. I try to take what I have liked working counselors over the years (being listened to, validated & empathized with), what has not worked for me (those who gave preachy, simplistic advice...) and incorporate the helpful counseling styles into my practice. My area of specialty emerged while I was in graduate school. I had the honor of working with Survivors of Domestic Violence. I also have spent several years working as an Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist at a hospital assisting clients heal from depression, anxiety, mood disorders and trauma. COVID-19 hasn't been easy on our generation, and especially not for students. I am noticing an increase in social anxiety and overall questioning of the meaning of life. I remain committed to the mental health field, however, and hope you reach out to see if I'm a good match for you! NEW: I have recently started a therapy blog! I’m glad you’re here. Looking for support is a big first step. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to make sense of what you’re dealing with, and find new ways forward that feel more manageable. I have extensive experience working with college-aged and emerging adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles. More importantly, I’m interested in getting to know you as an individual and working together in a way that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with who you are. Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. I’ll listen, guide, and support you as you build on your strengths, tackle challenges, and develop practical tools for growth. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can feel understood, empowered, and more confident in yourself.
As a therapist, I am deeply committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges in a way that honors their unique experiences. I have experience working people struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and addiction. I am dedicated to helping individuals understand themselves better, while developing skills to tackle life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has inherent strengths, and my goal is to empower you to recognize and utilize those strengths to obtain their goals.
Rising Lotus Counseling is a small group therapy practice providing therapy virtually across New York State. Our focus is to support and strengthen members of our community by giving them high quality mental health treatment. We regularly work with young adults navigating school, relationships, the workplace, and discovering their identity. Clients also work with us when they are struggling with stress, trauma in their past or present, ADHD and distress with functioning, anxiety, depression and more.
I believe in healing through corrective experiences. It is possible to heal from trauma & anxiety, rather than just learning coping with it! I prefer to use methods that are designed to alleviate the distress associated with painful memories. This includes Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and other Experiential Therapy modalities that are proven to be equally as effective in a virtual setting.
Hello! I’m Tatyana, an EMDR Certified Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to children, adults, and families. I help my clients deal with college adjustments, traumatic and adverse life experiences, anxiety, depression, anger management, relationships issues, life transitions, and other issues. I would love to connect to discuss how I can help you. Please, email, call or text to set up a FREE 15 minutes consultation.
My main focus are patients with trauma history and those currently suffering with anxiety and/or depression. I also work with those who are experiencing significant life changes, and those who are exploring their identity, values, and meaning of life.
In our practice we provide authentic, inclusive, client-centered care to promote growth in a safe and compassionate environment. Providing a safe supportive space for clients to explore their unique challenges, strengths, and aspirations is essential in the work we do. We are committed to empowering you to find your inner strength and courage to discover a new path towards healing. Life is uncertain, therapy doesn’t have to be!

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that aren't serving you, or disconnected from yourself or the people around you, you're not alone. Many of the patients I work with are searching for relief, clarity, and a greater sense of control. They want to feel more confident in their decisions, more at peace in their bodies and minds, and better equipped to handle daily stressors without becoming emotionally flooded. Some are also looking to rebuild self-trust and develop a healthier relationship with food, their body, and the people in their lives. As a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit (MHC-LP), my work centers on helping adolescents and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, OCD, disordered eating, and the challenges that come with major life transitions. That said, people at all stages of life are welcome here. My goal is to support you in creating lasting, meaningful change by helping you understand your patterns, build practical coping tools, and move toward a life that feels more stable and aligned with your values. Compassionate, authentic, and collaborative care is at the heart of everything I do. Creating a space where you feel genuinely supported and understood isn't just a goal; it's a commitment I bring to every session. We'll work together in an environment that is grounded and nonjudgmental, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrative, person-centered approaches to help you reduce anxiety, manage OCD patterns, and reconnect with a greater sense of balance in both mind and body. I'm especially passionate about the connection between mental and physical well-being, and supporting you in finding more freedom from anxious thinking, compulsive patterns, and self-criticism. Every aspect of our work is tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals, because there's no single path forward that works for everyone. My path to becoming a therapist began in pediatric oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I supported children and families through cancer treatment. This experience shaped my passion for providing compassionate, steady care in moments of distress. I later worked in a school setting providing crisis intervention for children and young adults with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Over the past two years, I have worked in eating disorder treatment, supporting adolescents and young adults in building a more supportive relationship with food, body image, and emotional wellbeing. I also have experience providing trauma-focused care, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to support clients in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. These experiences inform my trauma-informed, collaborative approach to care. I aim to help clients feel grounded, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful change. When I'm not in session, I'm usually moving my body for enjoyment, catching a movie, or exploring a new coffee spot. Music is a big part of my life, whether that's listening at home or going to live concerts. Traveling, discovering new places, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at the beach are some of my favorite ways to recharge.
