You deserve to re-connect with yourself and others. I would be honored to partner with you and support your nervous system in accessing more ease, empowerment, and joy. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of stress or trauma, feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, or experiencing pain and tension in your body. Or you may be functioning well on the outside, but feeling disconnected from purpose, meaning, or belonging. Whatever brings you here, I'm so glad you've taken this step. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy with a strong foundation in social justice, offering a compassionate space for healing and reconnection. My approach is collaborative and respectful of your inner strengths. Together, we’ll revisit past wounds when necessary, but always with intention and safety; not just to talk, but to heal. I integrate EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, parts work, mindfulness tools, and somatic approaches to support lasting resilience and emotional clarity. My practice is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in deep respect for all living beings. If you’ve experienced discrimination or systemic harm, I offer a space where your story is seen and honored. Therapy doesn’t have to re-traumatize. It can be a doorway to relief, confidence, and peace. If this sounds like what you need, I’d love to hear from you.

Due to the coronavirus, my practice is telehealth only. Connecting with a laptop , ipad or phone is easy. I work best with persistent persons wanting a better quality of life. Because it can be difficult to seek help, I provide psychoeducation about therapy to clients and am forthright and supportive. So if you are feeling anxious or sad, have worries, or are worried about social, attention or homework skills, I am able to help. Clients who are motivated to do better and want relief from school, social and family stresses can benefit from my approach to therapy. It is important to remember that each person is an individual who has his or her individual concerns. My approach is focused, following a cognitive-behavioral orientation. I work with a wide range of and have an understanding of the unique culture of colleges and universities. Individuals seen in my practice are generally anxious, stressed, panicky and dealing with life circumstances. I enhance skills through university teaching and professional writing. Treatment emphasizes coping and problem solving skills, which are tools used when formal therapy has ended. One should acquire the ability to see alternatives so problems become less overwhelming and more manageable. As someone who is teaching college students online, I have an understanding of the pressures and stresses that come with the logistics of navigating online instruction. The college students seen in my practice report anxieties related to multiple personal/social, academic and work demands as well as the changes in daily life due to the coronavirus

Sometimes in life we find ourselves feeling lost or alone on our journey. We each need to know that someone will be there to help us find our way. My goal is to help you figure out what you want from life and to provide a safe space that will enable you to work towards your goals, whatever they may be. I became a mental health counselor because I believe everyone has the capacity to grow and become more fully the person they were meant to be. My passion is walking that journey with others, being a listening and supportive presence as you strive to do that. I look forward to sharing that journey of discovery with you during our time together. My hours are normally Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, but I am open to working with you to find a time that works best for you.
