Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated with yourself — especially around focus, follow-through, confidence, or patterns you want to break — you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) providing individual therapy to adults seeking practical, supportive, and insight-oriented care. I specialize in working with clients who want to strengthen executive functioning and ADHD-related challenges, build self-esteem and confidence, and support recovery from addictive behaviors, including alcohol, substances, and process addictions (such as gambling or compulsive sexual behaviors). Many of the clients I work with are highly capable, insightful individuals who feel discouraged by procrastination, self-doubt, impulsivity, or repeated cycles they struggle to change. Therapy with me focuses on helping you better understand your patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build a more grounded and confident relationship with yourself. I commonly support clients with: -ADHD and executive functioning challenges (organization, time management, follow-through) -Low self-esteem, self-criticism, and confidence at work or in relationships -Anxiety related to performance, decision-making, or life transitions Addiction recovery (alcohol, substances, gambling, sex or compulsive behaviors) -Emotional regulation and impulse control Stress, burnout, and feeling “stuck” My therapeutic style is collaborative, structured, and compassionate. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic insight, tailoring therapy to your goals and pace. I aim to create a space where you feel supported, challenged when helpful, and empowered to make meaningful progress. Clients often describe therapy with me as supportive, thoughtful, and goal-oriented.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal as a therapist is to help you achieve your goals and assist you in resolving or overcoming any challenges you may be facing. I have a no nonsense, solutions focused approach to therapy- the goal is not to have you in therapy forever, but rather to tackle the problem and then go out and live your best life. Deciding to seek help can be really challenging, so congratulations on taking that step! Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey, but keep in mind therapy requires that YOU need to put in the work! I’ll be there to listen to you, and to really challenge you. Of course I will support you along the way. In our first session you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I will share my approach to therapy and how I may be able to assist you. From there, if you chose to work with me, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're used to handling everything on your own. Whether you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in patterns you can't seem to break, or simply not feeling like yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, life transitions, relationship challenges, and overwhelming stress. Many of my clients are high achievers who appear to have everything together on the outside while struggling internally with self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling emotionally exhausted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel not only heard but truly understood. Together we'll work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and connected to the life you want to live.
I am person-centered. I work collaboratively with clients, providing individualized care customized to address your needs and concerns. It is my belief that the client is the expert of their own lives, and I am along on the journey to provide the therapeutic support needed. I prefer to use trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and behavioral approaches to assist with achieving your goals.
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward? With more than eight years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I am comfortable supporting clients with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. I meet each client where they are and work collaboratively with them to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create realistic steps toward meaningful change. Some clients come to therapy seeking practical coping skills, while others need a safe place to process their experiences and better understand themselves. Whatever your reason may be, let's explore and work together. I specialize in working with individuals, families, and couples experiencing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma and grief, depression, emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, substance abuse disorders, and serious mental illness. My approach is flexible and individualized because no single method works for everyone. Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when you are used to carrying everything on your own or have not always felt heard or understood. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of criticism.

This is your journey and I am here to support you. My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and my clinical work is a balance of direct confrontation of the challenges in your life, while ensuring we take things one-step at a time to maximize success. Together, we will take a collaborative and problem-solving approach to reach your goals. I have a particular interest in working with individuals facing major life transitions such as life during and after college, postpartum challenges for all caregivers, as well as supporting aging families. I am skilled at working individuals with ADHD, executive functioning deficits, and ASD. I welcome all individuals to my practice. This is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC, individuals of all body types, religion, and reproductive healthcare. The most important thing is that you feel safe and understood.
You’re used to handling things. You’ve figured out how to succeed, meet deadlines, and show up for others — but lately it feels harder. Maybe anxiety is louder, your mood dips more often, or relationships feel strained. You don’t have to keep pushing through alone. Therapy can help you build steadiness, clarity, and more intentional choices in the middle of a demanding season. At Mind Field Therapy, I work with college students navigating anxiety, depression, identity shifts, relationship stress, and the impact of difficult life events or past trauma. I’ll absolutely ask how you’re feeling — and we’ll go deeper than that. I’m direct, grounded, and occasionally use humor when it helps us loosen anxiety’s grip. The goal isn’t endless venting; it’s understanding what’s driving the patterns and building tools you can actually use.
Hi there! My name is Brianna, and I intertwine my experiences as a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, perpetual student, community organizer, and insights from my own mental health journey into my holistic practice. I aim to provide an engaging and warm environment where together we can access tools to help you cope with stressors; set healthy boundaries and improve communication to fuel connection and build relationships; step into your emotions to better regulate them; reprocess past traumatic experiences; and strengthen your attunement and awareness to your body. You have the innate power to heal yourself, I’m simply here to guide and empower you along the way. I use techniques from multiple modalities, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic experiencing (SE), internal family systems (IFS), intuitive eating, and feminist therapy, while always adding a multicultural and anti-oppressive lens. Together we can collaborate to tailor an approach that best addresses your needs in an environment where you feel seen, heard, and empowered. You try so hard to keep the peace. You don't want to "rock the boat", and desperately want others to like you. After years of bending over backwards, your nerves are so much on edge that others have called you "too sensitive" or "overly emotional". In relationships with family, friends, partners, and coworkers, you feel powerless and plagued with doubt. Overthinking and spiraling thoughts are your new norm. But recently, you're realizing that you've been putting other people first for years, so much so, that you've forgotten to take care of yourself. That's where our work together comes in. Are you ready to learn to trust your own voice? Are you ready to shed the message that you have to please others to have happy relationships? Are you ready to stop overthinking? And most importantly, are you ready to begin taking care of yourself, the way you've been taking care of others for years? Invest in yourself and take that next step by clicking "Email Me" button or giving me a call. I offer a free phone consultation, and see clients in-person in my Oneonta Office and via telehealth anywhere in New York. I specialize in working with college students, and have experience in working with adults of all ages. I look forward to hearing from you!
Counseling works best when the focus is on getting back to yourself. It is a space to seek guidance, introspection, and wellness all geared around your own unique strengths, interests, and needs. Counseling is not about "fixing" you, it's about exploring and connecting with your own capabilities to bring you the wellness you deserve. When I work with clients it's important to guide you down your own path of wellness and to use my skills and expertise to help you embody your own power to heal. Through narrative and mindfulness based approaches we will work together to connect to your emotions and learn from your own self what it is you need to thrive. With over a decade of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings, I have gathered wisdom and knowledge from a variety of frameworks, such as person centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crises and stress management, to address a variety of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, personal identity, goal setting, sexuality, grief, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, mind-body healing and so much more.
I use a strengths based approach to treating adults with ADD and ADHD, based on the work of Russell Barkley, Ned Hallowell and William Dodson.
Do you feel like you’re stuck in a loop of thoughts and actions that are hard to stop? Life can feel overwhelming when your mind won’t stop racing or when anxious thoughts and doubts take over. As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck in cycles of worry, fear, or perfectionism. If you’re struggling with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or self-confidence issues, I’m here to help you find clarity, calm, and greater confidence. We'll work together to gain tools to relieve stress, develop personalized self-care practices that fit into your busy schedule, build trust in yourself, and feel less anxious and more in control of your life. I use Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), an approach designed to help you better understand and change the thinking patterns that contribute to OCD. Our sessions can help you replace that inner critic with a kinder, more self-compassionate voice that recognizes your worth beyond achievements. I provide a warm and compassionate space where we’ll work together to understand your experiences and tackle challenges.
