Kadijah supports young adults and adults who are seeking a safe space where they can be acknowledged, listened to, and accepted without any judgment. Typically, these folks are competent, accomplished individuals who are held back from achieving their full potential by issues such as anxiety, trauma, or difficulties in relationships. They are looking for a therapist who is empathetic, warm, affirming, and inclusive to guide them on their journey of healing. As your therapist, I will work alongside you to build effective tools for managing day-to-day life stressors, healing from your past trauma, and empowering you to move towards a more fulfilling life. My goal is to help you let go of fear and self-doubt, be kinder and more accepting of yourself, identify and express your needs, develop healthier boundaries, and feel more connected. Starting therapy is an act of bravery and kindness towards oneself. It is the beginning of prioritizing yourself and making meaningful changes in your life. I am honored to be a part of your journey of healing, renewal and growth. I look forward to connecting with you.

Hi, I’m Reeti Kumar, and yes, therapy really can make life feel lighter. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing virtual therapy in Rhode Island, New York, and Connecticut. I help people get back to living the kind of life they actually want — not just the one they’re pushing through. I love working with college & grad students who are motivated to make changes but maybe feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in a loop of overthinking (hi, anxiety and perfectionism). In our sessions, you’ll find a mix of evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (because science works!) and down-to-earth conversations (because we’re both human). I also treat OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention - the gold standard to help you say "No way" to those compulsions making you late to class! I bring in a multicultural lens, helping clients explore their identities, navigate family dynamics, and find balance between culture and expectations. I offer a warm, judgment-free space where you can say what’s really on your mind (yes, even the “weird” thoughts — we all have them). Together, we’ll work on untangling unhelpful thinking patterns and building habits that support a calmer, healthier life.

Sometimes we struggle with our mental health when we're children, adolescents, or even up to our adulthood. By taking the next step in your mental health journey we can work as a team to break generational curses, help you build your confidence, express your emotions, build healthy boundaries, healthier ways to cope, communicate skills, and problem solve to create the best version of you. While also helping you heal from past experiences in order to create a more fulfilling life you can be empowered by. Beginning your therapy journey isn't the easiest but I am glad you chose this opportunity to change not only the trajectory of your mental health but family members, friends, and relatives as well. I believe that what brings many people to therapy is a sense of disconnection (from themselves, others, or the world around them). Alongside disconnection, clients may experience depression, anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, job/career concerns, loneliness, anger, body pains, among other symptoms. I’m passionate about working with clients to help them identify, understand, and reconnect with the parts of themselves and their experiences that they disconnected from throughout the years. It is through this work that clients are able to show up more authentically and experience greater meaning and fulfillment in their lives. I work primarily from relational and attachment based frameworks while incorporating complementary modalities, prioritizing client needs/goals. My specialty is working with individuals with relationship concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. Additionally, I have expertise working with college/graduate students and emerging adults. I wholeheartedly believe that much of the healing and growth process occurs within the context of relationships (whether that be in the relationships with others or with yourself). Therefore, I emphasize the importance of finding a good fit with a therapist and encourage reaching out if you feel we may be a good fit. I look forward to connecting!
Our team of therapists pull from a myriad of evidence based treatment modalities to meet the individual needs of our clients. Some of the most well known and effective therapy modalities we offer are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). One of the goals of CBT is to replace negative thoughts and actions with productive behaviors that make the individual feel equipped to overcome any difficult moment. DBT emphasizes individual psychotherapy and group skills training classes to help people learn and use new skills and strategies to develop a life worth living. DBT skills include, skills for mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. We work with our clients to help them recognize how their thinking influences their emotions and behaviors and to establish personalized effective coping mechanisms. Doing so will ultimately help you identify and effectively manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in real-world situations.

Hello and thank you for visiting my practice page. The college experience can bring with it many changes and emotions. I know from personal times as a student that college and graduate school can be overwhelming, exciting and a wave of emotions and situations through the years. I work with college students to talk through situations, gain insight in processing what they are going through while growing and moving through the many experiences that can present themselves as a student. I am licensed in the states of NY and CT as a LCSW, I see students throughout NY and CT in person and through a HIPAA compliant Telehealth platform. Together we discuss, process and work on a variety of topics related to adjustments in life, anxiety, depression, trauma, eating related issued and body image, self-esteem, substance use, issues involving sports teams, Greek life related to sororities and fraternities, health issues, and many different relationship issues. I operate from a nonjudgmental, open and honest place drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities. Please visit my web site to learn more about my practice and send me a message if you are interested in seeing if we might be a good fit. Take care.
Finding someone you feel comfortable with is important when searching for a therapist. Clients say I am warm, compassionate and non-judgmental, and provide a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment. My style is down to earth, and you will find it easy to talk to me and feel understood. My clients are individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, employment or relationship problems, or various life transitions. They may feel anxious, sad, angry, frustrated, depressed or confused. Sometimes they feel overwhelmed by their feelings, relationships, or life circumstances. Managing work or school, family and friendships is often demanding and stressful. I use an interactive approach to help clients re-examine fixed patterns of behavior that keep them stuck in unsatisfying situations. Past experiences, including relationships, can sometimes overload our thoughts and feelings. Increased awareness and new insights can often free clients to make more authentic and creative choices. I help clients find and build on their strengths, so that no matter what the reasons were that brought them to therapy, they become able to appreciate themselves in a deep and lasting way. Taking the step to call someone takes courage, and I look forward to receiving your call.
It is the mission of Morris Cognitive Behavioral Consulting to meet clients where they are when they enter treatment and help them come to a place of radical acceptance of their current circumstances. Dr. Morris has an interactive, direct style that, at times, feels more like coaching than traditional psychotherapy. She focuses on enhancing a client’s motivation, as well as helping them find the balance between acceptance and change. Their goal is to locate the “gray area” between extremes in thinking, emotions, and behavior. It is these extremes, which lead to common problems in living, relationship difficulties, or severe mental and behavioral symptoms. Dr. Morris believes in doing more than helping individuals reduce troubling symptoms; she wants to help clients break free from ineffective behavioral patterns and, more importantly, truly heal. She is committed to teaching clients how to stop emotions from controlling their lives. She strives to help clients overcome barriers that keep them stuck in negative behaviors, life patterns, or relationships that hinder their ability to reach their desired goals and live fully. Dr. Morris channels her unrelenting energy, straightforward style, and radical genuineness to help shift clients into resolving these barriers and ineffective patterns. She hopes to enable clients to become more skillful in their everyday experience so they can be more effective at reaching their goals while, ultimately, creating lives worth living. Dr. Morris specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, strength-based approaches that focus specifically on practical coping skill acquisition, which are uniquely tailored to each client's individual goals. She offers a range of evidence-based therapy, group, and consulting services to children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, and organizations.
