I’m a seasoned therapist who’s passionate about helping people navigate trauma, life transitions, and everyday challenges. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and safe to explore your experiences. Together, we’ll work at your pace to build understanding, coping skills, and lasting growth. You're the expert on your own lived experiences! We’ll work together to understand your story, build on your strengths, and find ways to bring more balance and peace into your life. My approach combines trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic insight, and a systems lens to help you heal and move forward. Our first session is about getting to know you, answering your questions, and beginning the work toward healing at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and start creating a supportive space for growth and healing.

As your therapist, I will help you know yourself in a deeper way. In doing so, you will be better equipped to enact changes in your life that will lead to greater happiness and a sense of well-being. We cannot erase negative past experiences. We can, however, work together to help you to better understand and to respond to these experiences in more constructive ways. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I will help you to become more aware of your long standing, negative behavioral patterns which are getting in your way of resolving challenges and of establishing and meeting your goals in life. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, conflicted relationships, work stress and identity issues. As an alternative to therapy, I also offer coaching services for clients working toward specific personal goals in the areas of career/work, self care (e.g. weight loss, improved work-life balance, meditation/mindfulness practices) and relationships. In addition to my 5th Avenue office, I have offices on East 57th St and in Great Neck, Long Island. I also provide therapy online to residents of NY State.

I specialize in working with young and emerging adults (people in their 20s and 30s), as well as teens and their families. My passion lies in helping young people navigate life’s transitional phases. Many of my clients are working through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, difficulty with focus or organization, or stress related to school and work. Others are making big life or career decisions, processing trauma or loss, working through painful childhoods, or exploring identity—whether around race, class, gender, or being part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. As a former foster parent and current adoptive parent, I bring a personal and informed perspective to the complexities of non-traditional and non-biologically based families. I also have a particular focus on supporting individuals who’ve experienced difficult or traumatic childhoods. This includes—but isn’t limited to—survivors of childhood physical, sexual, or emotional abuse; those who grew up with parents struggling with mental health or substance use; people who were bullied; individuals who spent time in foster care; and anyone who faced significant instability or stress during their early years. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you recognize your own strength, build tools that work for your life, and create space for insight, growth—and yes, even laughter. Whether it’s your first time in therapy or you’re giving it another try, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward. Let’s figure it out—together.

I know that life can be challenging, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I’m a board-certified, Mount Sinai-trained adult psychiatrist, and my passion is helping individuals like you achieve optimal mental well-being. In our work together, I combine therapy and medication, when needed, with practical lifestyle changes—like improving sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness—to help you create a balanced, healthy life. I believe that everyone’s journey is unique, so I’m dedicated to crafting a personalized treatment plan that fits your specific needs and goals. I take a holistic approach to mental health, considering not just the mind and body but also the cultural and social factors that shape our experiences. This is especially important to me in the South Asian community, where discussions around mental health can feel daunting. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can express your concerns. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, cultural challenges, or life transitions, I’m here to help you find the clarity and resilience to thrive. Together, we can work towards your mental health goals and foster a brighter, more balanced future. I look forward to partnering with you on this journey!

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY with over 7 years of experience in the field. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I have worked with youth and adults in my community in both clinical and academic settings, and especially enjoy working with college students and faculty. I am a proud LGBTQIA+ ally, and I am committed to anti-racism and understanding the unique struggles at the intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and mental health. I use a mix of CBT, DBT, positive psychology, and mindfulness techniques. My person-centered therapeutic style focuses on acceptance and relationship building. I am a calm and empathetic listener, and do my best to be positive and upbeat when appropriate. I work well with those who are seeking change and willing to explore their diagnoses and how their symptoms are impacting their life. This way, we can collaboratively develop a treatment plan, build new skills, and evaluate your progress together. In our first session, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, concerns, and history. This will help us develop an initial plan for treatment, which we’ll collaborate on moving forward. Helping others with their mental health is my life’s passion, and I encourage you to reach out if you think we might be a good fit. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. I am a Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I specialize in treating anxiety and depression in adolescents and adults using evidence based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Our college years are one of the best years of my life. It was a time where I experienced a major shift in the way I saw the world and reframed many of my lived experiences. College was also one of the most stressful times in my life. The deadlines, the professors who didn't care I had other classes to study for, the part-time work and wok study...so many all nighters. And somehow making time to be social. All of these things make uo the college experience but I realized, many years later, that some things, such as the constant worrying about deadlines, the panic sweat waiting for my professors to give me feedback, and the fact I typically slept four hours a day, were not normal things I should have "pushed through" as I often told myself those days. I wished someone had been there to tell me to step back and take care of myself more. Now, as a therapist, I hope I can be the person who helps get you through the dualities that is your college years.

I grew up in a Chinese/Fujianese immigrant family and deeply understand the impact of generational trauma and cultural identity struggles that first generation individuals may experience. I am the first person in my family to have attended college and go on to get a master's degree in social work. Throughout my 7 years in the field, I have worked with a wide range of individuals dealing with conflicts in the areas of work, relationship, friendship, family, and self-esteem. I offer a compassionate, strengths-based approach that meets you where you are.
