Hey! I'm Samantha. I help high achieving teens and adults who are experiencing anxiety while trying to manage life stressors (relationships changes, work/school stress, self esteem issues, etc). Sometimes college doesn't go as planned. You had a vision in your head of what this time of your life would be like, but the reality is totally different. You find yourself worrying often, struggling in social situations, and fearing that any decision you make can set you on the wrong future path. Anxiety can take over your life and feel all consuming. You don't have to figure it all out on your own! I provide online anxiety therapy in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Being a goal oriented person who feels pressured to succeed is something I can relate to. I'm excited to meet you and help you work towards unlocking your best self through therapy!
Hello! I’m Ally (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe in using a holistic, person-centered approach that honors you as the expert of your own experiences. Navigating college life can be challenging, exciting and at times overwhelming. Whether you are adjusting to a new environment, exploring your identity, managing academic pressure, dealing with anxiety-- you are not alone. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and respectful of your journey. You deserve a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to be yourself. I’m here to support you. Together we will work on building insight and developing healthy coping strategies. Using a blend of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-focused techniques, we’ll work together to find what resonates best for you and your unique situation.
Hearth Counseling provides therapy in the Raleigh area and the state of North Carolina for adults, couples, mothers, families, and adolescents. We see clients virtually and in person. We support clients who are struggling with depression, trauma, men's issues, women's issues, ADHD, addiction, anxiety, infertility, LGBTQIA+, trauma, life transitions, pregnancy, and postpartum issues.
I offer virtual therapy to clients located anywhere in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. My approach is exploratory, rather than pre-planned or highly structured. My style is informal and at ease; I offer a space where you can relax enough to become more of who you actually are, rather than feeling like we are analyzing or troubleshooting you. Our focus isn’t determined by what we worked on last time or by a treatment manual – it emerges from what you're wanting, wondering, or feeling each time you arrive. I work best with people willing to continue the work between sessions, by practicing present-focused awareness and trying out gentler, more curious responses to their body sensations, thoughts, and feelings. I offer a collaborative space for you to learn to listen to your pain in a way that fosters healing and insight. Because growth takes courage and vulnerability, our work will also empower you to discover your own strength and set your own pace. Our relationship will be rooted in trust, imagination, and fierce respect for the journey you’re on. My approach is a fusion of many therapeutic styles, including Gestalt therapy, humanistic therapy, feminist therapy, and Buddhist psychology. Please visit dorothycashore.com for more details about me and the way I work, then feel free to reach out to schedule a phone consult. I'd be glad to talk with you about whether we'd be a good fit.

We offer professional counseling services, as well as small group mindfulness, meditation, and yoga classes. We take an integrative approach to wellness by looking at the whole YOU and the community of support around you. We collaborate with other providers in our community in order to have the best possible referral sources for you when you need them. So, whether it is a movement class, nutrition, medication, or medical care that you need, we will help you find the support to feel well again. Our counseling services are individualized to meet the needs of each person. We offer individual therapy for adults, teens and children, as well as family therapy and parent coaching/support. We will help you connect to yourself, connect in your relationships, and connect to your community, so you can get back to doing what you were always meant to do – reach your goals, find joy, and feel content with the life you are living.
Anxiety doesn't have to run your life. You can find joy again. On the surface, things are still looking great. You appear to “have it all”, but, on the inside, things are falling apart. You feel stressed, overwhelmed and out of control. It doesn’t have to be like this, and I can show you another way. I help driven people just like you manage their anxiety, stress and irritable bowel syndrome. You can gain stability and finally enjoy your success. If you are ready to do the hard work of changing your life, I’d love to talk to you.
Life asks a lot from us. How can we thrive in our lives, work and relationships in fulfilling, whole-hearted ways? We all occasionally feel blocked or frustrated and benefit from support that can connect us with our potential. You are deserving of purpose, meaning and joy in your life and we will work together to discover what your unique needs are so that you can live in closer alignment with your goals and values. I specialize in serving adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, domestic and/or sexual violence as well as substance use and addiction. It is my sincere hope that you will leave our sessions feeling more inspired through greater personal insight and tangible skills that can be applied in your daily life. Therapy is not a mysterious process where the counselor holds The Answers. Therapy is a collaboration between a therapist and client who both show up and do the work. I believe firmly in the axiom “no judgements during adjustments” and offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore new ways of thinking, living and doing the deep, meaningful work to get you where you’d like to be. Please call or email me for a free 30-minute consultation so that I can answer any questions you have about this practice.

College is often synonomous with stress. Adapting to independence. Figuring out your identity, beliefs, and preferences apart from family influence. Balancing classes and social life. You're living "Adulting 101." I work with lots of folks managing life transitions and stress. Sometimes this includes managing anxiety or working through past trauma, but it always includes working together to create a space for you to question and learn and grow into the person you desire. I want you to feel freedom to show up and take up space in your life. We'll collaborate to determine what that looks like for you.

I enjoy working with adolesents and young adults. I have worked in schools, clinics, hospitals and for the last several years I have been in solo private practice.
Getting started can be overwhelming. My goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible so we can go at your pace. I specialize in working with clients with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and addiction. Many of my clients have tried to cope with difficult life changes by pushing their feelings away or finding short-term coping mechanisms that serve as a distraction. My role is to help people listen to and manage their emotions without feeling overwhelmed or ruled by them. Being personally in recovery from alcohol helps me understand and empathize with what you’re going through because I’ve probably been there too. I like to break down clinical approaches to collaboratively determine the best fit for each person’s unique goals. I incorporate elements of neurobiology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and schema work to help people better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. If you're not sure what you're looking for yet, that's okay! Feel free to reach out to set up an introductory phone call to see if we're a good fit.
Healing happens when we feel safe enough to show up exactly as we are. All parts of you are welcome here. I’m not here to change you or fix you. I don’t think you are “broken” or that there's anything "wrong" with you. Together we'll create an accepting + compassionate environment, with respect for your intuition + body's wisdom underlying all that we do. I’m trauma + social justice-informed and view therapy through an intersectional lens (mind, body, environment, culture). During our time together, we’ll likely look at environmental factors (interpersonal, economic, oppression) that create individual/collective stress and trauma. I value equity, consent and boundaries in the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space that is safe, non-judgmental and accepting. My approach is collaborative + holistic, centering around values of empathy, connection and deep listening. I’m Internal Family Systems-informed and incorporate somatic + mindfulness-based approaches into sessions. I provide an Autism-affirming perspective in therapy and believe Autism is a genetically-based neurotype, not a medical disorder. "I understand being autistic to be a cultural identity and recognize autistic people as experts on their own culture." (quote from Trauma Geek). Please visit my website for more information. Warmly, River (they/she)
If you're looking here, you're probably under stress, feeling anxious, or dealing with the huge change of transitioning to college. It's a major life change, and sometimes people don't feel as prepared for all that is coming at them as they had expected! Or maybe you're dealing with family stress, having trouble navigating roommate issues, or grieving a loss. I can support you in figuring out new ways to be successful and step into your best self. What we will do together is identify the pain points, so we can develop solutions that meet your needs.
