I create warm, accepting, and collaborative relationships that anchor and support people as they problem-solve, deepen their understanding of their own needs, set goals, and move towards the changes they want in their lives. Trained as a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I emphasize the way that relationships shape us. I work with adults-- including undergraduate and graduate students- who are struggling with change or loss related to life transitions, relational issues, aloneness, anxiety, trauma, achievement issues, and grief. I'm an active listener, who is described by my patients as warm, flexible, and collaborative. I see people in my office, located in Concord center or via telehealth.

A working machine is comprised of many cogs and gears that must interlock seamlessly in order to function. Our minds are not all that different. One faulty belief can throw our whole center off balance. That is why counseling can be beneficial. Gaining a new perspective is the same as getting a realignment. Counseling can be a life-altering journey as it offers a judgement-free atmosphere to explore our deepest fears, sorrows, and triumphs. The sharing of these experiences can open our minds up to new ideas and perspectives that we may be struggle to uncover on our own. The pursuit of mental health wellness, recovery or personal change can be a hopeful and fulfilling endeavor. However, pursuing change can equally feel anxiety provoking or outside of one’s comfort zone. This is particularly true when change may mean altering or letting go of thoughts and behaviors that have felt protective or familiar. It is expected that one may enter into therapy with mixed feelings about the process and desired outcomes. It is my intention to partner with individuals at any stage of readiness to better understand her needs and develop a unique plan of treatment specifically tailored to meet those needs. My therapeutic style is empathetic, supportive, and direct. I incorporate humor and laughter whenever possible. I offer an eclectic blending of approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness training, Strengths-based, Solution-focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapies. While I treat a wide array of issues, I maintain a primary focus on the treatment of eating disorders, women's issues, anxiety, depression and supporting students transitioning to college. Contact me directly to explore whether or not I may be a good fit for your needs.
