I have been told that I am relatable and easy to talk with and always impartial. Each person has their own strengths, and I enjoy helping clients work with their individual tools to find sustainable balance. Welcome! I'm a licensed psychologist specializing in providing treatment to young adults facing a variety of mental health concerns. I am committed to understanding and addressing the unique challenges that young people (especially girls and women) encounter today. I strive to foster a safe, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment for clients to explore their emotions, better understand and express themselves, and develop the resilience and coping skills required to effectively manage the challenges they encounter. I employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are tailored to each individual's unique needs and developmental stage. Common concerns I treat include: anxiety and stress, depression/mood disorders, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, social problems, family conflict, and trauma-related issues. I also provide comprehensive psychological assessments. My psychological evaluations can help gain diagnostic clarity, identify underlying issues (e.g., learning disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, etc.), and assist with treatment and educational planning.
I work with college students impacted by trauma and those who struggle with attention deficit and social difficulties in a long-term therapeutic relationship. I am particularly passionate about working with those on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. I have expertise in relational trauma, substance abuse, and social difficulties in the context of major life transitions. I am also practiced in working through executive dysfunction and autism spectrum disorders. I also conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessment and testing. If you feel that you are struggling with attention, social deficits, memory, planning, or other areas of executive functioning, neuropsychological testing might help.

I believe therapy offers the opportunity to become who you really are. People are often unaware of all of the factors that are keeping them stuck, creating dissatisfaction, or causing distressing symptoms. By developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships through therapy, it becomes possible to experience your life more authentically, feel better in your relationships, and move toward what is enriching or important to you. I provide a reliable and empathic setting where we can carefully understand the difficulties you are experiencing – leading to relief, personal growth and lasting change. I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Of note, I have a sliding scale for psychoanalysis patients. As a board-certified psychiatrist I can also prescribe, when indicated, psychiatric medications – either in combination with or separate from therapy. When medications are considered, I will work collaboratively with you to make shared treatment decisions while carefully weighing the risks, benefits and alternatives to medication. I have extensive experience helping patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem, ADHD, OCD, identity questions and more. I also have a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition to my practice, I’m also a Teaching Associate at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. I completed my Adult Psychiatry Residency training at Cambridge Health Alliance / Harvard Medical School. I welcome you to email me or call with questions or to schedule a free consultation.
Hi! I’m Dr. Rey Junco. If you’re a college student feeling the weight of high expectations, academic burnout, or the lingering sting of past experiences, I want you to know that you don’t have to carry it all alone. As someone who spent most of my life in academia—holding faculty positions at places like Harvard and Oxford and working in college counseling centers for 13 years—I truly "get" the unique pressure of being a high achiever. I know what it’s like to look successful on the outside while struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, or the feeling that you aren’t making "real" progress. My approach is built for students who are tired of just talking about their problems and want to actually feel better. I specialize in evidence-based, results-oriented techniques like EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These aren’t your typical "sit and talk for years" methods; they are designed to help you process trauma and anxiety more deeply and efficiently so you can regain your confidence and focus on your future. I also have a deep background in researching how technology and social media impact our mental health. Whether you’re struggling with "tech fatigue," insomnia (I’m certified in CBT-I), or the complexities of modern relationships, I provide a non-judgmental, warm space tailored to your specific goals. As a survivor of childhood trauma myself, I’m not just a doctor with a degree; I’m someone who understands the frustration of trying to get better and not knowing where to start. If you’re ready to break the cycle of feeling stuck and want to rediscover your sense of joy and self, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to get you back to living the life you deserve.

Stephanie has work experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in outpatient, inpatient and emergency room settings. She enjoys working closely with her patients and their families in treating their mental health concerns.
