My favorite part of therapy is talking things out with an empathic therapist and then returning to session the following week and sharing how my new knowledge/strategy/skill worked out for me. I am happy to suggest goals, ideas, strategies, skills, or resources depending on your need. Or I am happy to listen to you while you work out your own thoughts & feelings.

Meet Kelli Jones – Helping College Students Find Calm, Clarity, and Confidence College life can be exciting, but it can also be a lot—deadlines, exams, friendships, dating, family expectations, jobs, and figuring out your future. It’s normal to feel stressed, anxious, or unsure about your next steps. That’s where Kelli Jones comes in. Kelli is a warm, approachable therapist who specializes in helping college students navigate the challenges and changes of this unique stage of life. She knows that your college years aren’t just about academics—they’re about learning who you are, finding your place in the world, and handling the pressures that come with new independence. In her sessions, Kelli creates a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind—whether that’s stress about classes, feeling disconnected, navigating relationship ups and downs, or just feeling “off.” She blends compassion with practical strategies so you not only feel heard and understood, but also leave each session with tools you can use right away. Kelli especially loves working with students to: Manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm Build confidence and self-esteem Navigate changes in friendships, dating, and family life Cope with homesickness or big life transitions Create healthier routines and boundaries Find balance between academics, work, and personal well-being Students often say Kelli has a calming, encouraging presence that makes it easier to open up—even about tough topics. She believes therapy should feel like a supportive partnership, where you’re an active part of setting goals and creating solutions that fit your life. Kelli understands that reaching out for help can feel intimidating, so she works hard to make the process comfortable and stress-free. You don’t have to have all the answers—or even know exactly what you want to talk about. You just need a place to start, and Kelli will walk alongside you from there. If you’ve been feeling stuck, stressed, or just ready to focus on your well-being, working with Kelli can help you find the clarity and confidence you need to thrive in college and beyond. Your mental health matters. Your story matters. And Kelli Jones is ready to help you write your next chapter.
Everyone deserves a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe clients are the experts in themselves and I provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment. One request I may ask of clients when we work together is that labels like “right” or “wrong” are strongly discouraged in sessions. Letting go of those labels in session is an important part of creating that safe space. The most common struggles of the people I work with include Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, struggles with assertiveness, gray-area substance use, and anger outbursts. The other mindfulness practices can help with managing anxiety, impulsivity, and intrusive thoughts. As your recovery evolves in stages, your treatment will too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing since 2018. My specialties include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy, as well as other mindfulness practices.
Do you identify as gender diverse (transgender, non-binary, gender queer, etc)? Are currently questioning or discovering your gender and/or needing a referral letter for medical transition steps? Jack Garner, LCSW is a licensed clinical therapist in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois and is a member of WPATH. Their practice is offered online where they provide individual counseling and coaching as well as referral letters for medical transition steps, such as HRT and surgeries (Note, all WPATH referral letters are provided under the informed consent model - meaning NO gate-keeping practices and it takes just one session to obtain your letter). I identify as gender diverse (AFAB, Non-Binary, Transmasc), which allows me to have a unique understanding, both personal and professional, that is not often found in the therapy world. I am passionate about serving our community and understand what it is like to question your gender, experience dysphoria, and take medical transition steps. If you are looking for a therapist who truly understands you and has 'been there' themselves - I am here for you! I look forward to meeting you and will absolutely consider it my honor to assist you in discovering and/or furthering your path to authenticity, wholeness, and joy. Please visit my website at www.JacksonGarnerLCSW.com for more information.
Presence and accompaniment matter. Relationships transform. We can more easily connect to our true self and touch emotional distress in the presence of another's settled nervous system. Neurobiology and mindfulness science has proven that the human brain can be distraught while simultaneously observing the self with compassion. The ability to be both experiencing and holding the experience is the key to maintaining calm when facing challenges. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxiety, anger, depression, or find yourself reacting in ways that leave you feeling alone and hurt, we can come to be with all of it with gentle awareness and respect. Utilizing attuned presence and offering stabilizing mind-body approaches, I support clients in restoring and strengthening connection with themselves and the world around them. It is in the warmth of healthy relationship that we offer our brains the ability to rewire. Our journey will allow space for joy, for pain, for greater self awareness and compassion. Restoring balance, re-engaging with connection, and igniting wisdom through awareness is possible. Please visit my website to schedule your free, 15 minute initial consultation. I look forward to meeting and walking alongside you.
