Hi! Thank you for stopping by my profile. If you’re seeking relief and change in your relationships, you are in the right place! A lot of us experience relationships that we would say “bring out the worst in us”, which is a harsh reality but also a helpful warning sign that there may be some cracks in the foundation of your relationship. Maybe you’ve struggled with forgiving things that have happened in relationships that consequently leave you feeling stuck and guarded. Whether you have experienced this in a relationship or individually, beginning therapy can definitely help in sorting out the triggers that bring out character traits like doubt, defensiveness, withdraw, and criticism; however, my job is to also provide insight into ways in which you can bring out the best in others and yourself, too. As your therapist, I am committed to helping you live a life that recognizes disappointments while simultaneously empowering you with ways to continue growth through those disappointments or failed expectations. When I meet with couples and individuals, I prioritize connection and trust so that each client feels respected and understood. It’s important to me that my clients develop their own perceptions, values, and beliefs so that any change that occurs will a representation of their own personal growth. I understand that it can be a challenge to find time to fit therapy into your schedule as it is definitely a commitment both mentally and financially. To eliminate this barrier for my clients and provide the greatest ability for accommodation, all of my appointments are virtual using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. This allows me to connect with individuals and couples throughout the state of Indiana in a way that fits with their schedule and lifestyle. If you are interested in setting up an appointment, I would love to connect with you! Feel free to reach out to me via email or phone to ask any questions about my services, and I will get back to you within 24-48 hours. I look forward to working with you!
Hey - I'm James! I look forward to getting to know you. I provide mental health therapy through secure video. I am in network with Anthem, Aetna, United Healthcare, and UMR. Schedule through my website to get a free consultation! Are you tired of waking up every morning wondering how you’re going to make it through another day? Do you get so anxious that it makes you physically sick? When you’re at your breaking point, you need someone on your side. As a mental health therapist for over 8 years, I see it as my privilege to take the time to understand what it's like to be you and to do my best to help you feel more in control of your life. I use scientifically supported techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, schema therapy, and solution-focused therapy. My specialities include working with adults who are going through hard life changes, family of origin issues, depression, anxiety, or who are just trying to figure out who they are. I really enjoy getting to know what makes my clients unique as people and then using this to help tackle whatever is sucking the fun out of life. One of the first things we can do in therapy is explore how you view the world and what the ingredients are to the problems bothering you. We'll make a plan together that feels right to you and is at the pace you need it to be. During each session, I want you to feel heard and cared about. My aim as your therapist is to support you in creating a more fulfilling life - a life you want to wake up to.

My specialites are: anxiety, depression, and bipolar. I have been a therapist for over 12 years. I treat every client as an individual and not as a collective whole. Choosing to complete higher education is not only stressful, it's confusing. It's the first time you're dipping your toe into adulthood, and having to navigate the world on your own for the first time. Your mental health is the most important thing to maintain while in school. I, too, had to have my own therapist throughout my 6 years of university, so don't think you're the only one. Depression, anxiety, relational issues, making friends, meeting deadlines for your homework: the list of struggles goes on and on. You don't have to hold it in and carry it alone. Let's work on making you the best version of yourself while you pursue carving out an amazing life for yourself.
It can be difficult to find your way amidst uncertainty. It can be easy to become overwhelmed and feel powerless and even hopeless, to lose a sense of purpose and enjoyment. Sometimes you need someone to help you sort these things out and get to the root of a problem so that you can grow beyond it. If I can help you achieve that in any way, then I have succeeded. My primary client focus at this time is young adults in college or trade school, professional women, working moms, and peripartum women.

It's uncomfortable to reach out for help, to reveal our pain and personal matters to anyone, let alone a stranger. This is why my priority is creating a safe, judgment free space to build a genuine connection with my clients. In addition to developing strategies to relieve immediate distress, I apply my 15 years in mental health, from home-based to hospital crisis work, to help you identify the reasons behind your struggles and resolve the underlying causes. This provides the framework for positive growth and a deeper understanding of oneself, for lasting results. I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and therapeutic goals. You are the expert on your life and your experiences, and my role is to provide support, help you gain insight into any self-limiting beliefs, all while gently steering you in the right direction. Everything we need for growth is already inside us; it's just a matter of finding it. I have thorough knowledge of anxiety, depression, and identifying/treating suicidal ideation, serving as clinical educator for a large crisis dept. My extensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides a foundation for my work. I'd like to make the process of starting therapy as easy as possible and invite a conversation on how I might help you.

Women come to me looking for someone who gets it. Are you tired of trying to be perfect but never feeling good enough, constantly seeking approval, or caring too much about what others think? Are you controlling from a place of fear? Is fear itself keeping you from becoming the best version of yourself? I’m here to help you break free from these struggles and step into the life you were created for. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in helping women uncover what’s holding them back. Through compassionate therapy rooted in proven techniques like CBT, we’ll identify the beliefs and past experiences keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll replace fear and doubt with confidence and clarity, empowering you to move forward boldly. In our first sessions, we’ll explore your story, identifying how past experiences and fears have shaped your current mindset. At your pace, we’ll challenge those patterns and uncover the purpose and identity God designed for you. What makes my practice unique is the flexibility to meet your needs, along with optional membership resources at thehealingculture.org for ongoing support. I’m passionate about this work because I’ve faced similar struggles and know the freedom and transformation that are possible. You don’t have to navigate this alone—let’s take the first step together!
I am so glad you are here. I am Angelica (she/her/hers), and I am a clinical social worker, who is a recovering people pleaser. I cant deny a cozy coffee shop and a decadent pastry. I am an excellent listener who can appreciate the uncomfortable silence, because that is where I find the most growth occurs. I work with students who have struggled to meet their own emotional needs. They are trying to relearn the balance of being a student, friend, and figuring out life’s next step. The ones who struggle to say that without taking care of themselves, they cant take care of anyone else around them. My goal is for you to view yourself as the beautiful person you are mentally, physically, and emotionally. Contact me at angelica@finding-balance-therapy.com or call/text me at (765)233-6968

Life may seem overwhelming, as if you are alone and no one understands you. Maybe you have an issue with someone, but the thought of conflict makes you shut down and avoid the situation. Perhaps you are anxious or consumed with worry or afraid of disappointing others. I have worked with many patients who struggle to stay connected in relationships or effectively communicate with others. You could struggle with anger issues and use anger to defend and protect yourself from being hurt.

I work collaboratively with clients and their families to support the development of realistic, meaningful goals that align with each client’s lifestyle, while placing strong emphasis on the health and trust of the client–therapist relationship. I bring extensive experience in helping individuals navigate substance abuse and engage in self-discovery. I approach my work with an open-minded, nonjudgmental perspective, incorporating appropriate use of humor to foster a strong therapeutic alliance and bring a sense of ease and balance when navigating life’s challenges.
I'm passionate about helping you to both recognize and build inner resilience. My holistic understanding of wellness is rooted in culturally competent and evidence based approaches to psychotherapy. This foundation is informed not only by my clinical training, but also by an eclectic background in academia, psychological research, social justice movements, a variety of spiritual and religious contexts, mentoring teens, and teaching yoga. I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Christian Theological Seminary and a Clinical Mental Health Counseling license in the state of Indiana. In addition, I hold a BA in both psychology and religious studies from Indiana University, which provides me with a broad understanding of how spirituality, religion, trauma, family systems, and society can affect us both negatively and positively. Learning and growing is a lifelong process that doesn’t end with a degree or certification. I am committed to and energized about my own growth as a clinician and person. This commitment to my own wellness and growth is a cornerstone to my work as a therapist.
Help me, help you. Taking a step toward beginning therapy is brave and you aren’t alone! Though it may feel daunting initially, therapy can be quite rewarding. I find joy in discovering strengths in others they may not notice in themselves, while providing practical tools, resources, and support. I value being part of the Social Work field and have worked with a wide range of ages and diagnoses through home-based and telehealth therapy services, outpatient substance use treatment, and outpatient groups for Veterans. I most often work with individuals hoping to navigate symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help others through a variety of approaches while navigating life changes, stressors, mental health symptoms, and improving family dynamics. With my areas of experience, I hope to help you take the next step and support you through your process. I look forward to partnering with you to set and achieve your goals.
As therapists, we often have a front-row seat to miracles. Well, okay, there are no miracles really. The fact is “fixing” a relationship or eliminating unhealthy behaviors can feel overwhelming. Yet, we are constantly amazed by the resiliency of clients and the transformative nature of the therapy. We strongly value the client-therapist relationship and heavily emphasize building rapport. Many clients will see a therapist for one session and never return, citing a lack of rapport with the therapist as the reason. We are humbled every day by the fact that clients choose to share some of the most vulnerable aspects of their lives with us. Whether you are struggling to overcome an addiction, repair a relationship or seeking to heal from past traumas, you have come to the right place. We have the experience to help you achieve your goals.
