Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Stephanie, a licensed mental health therapist and owner of Inner Emotions Counseling, LLC. I started my practice in 2021 and am currently working with clients up to age 25. My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, substance use and family/relationship issues. I strive to meet clients where they’re at using a solution-focused therapeutic style. No problem is too big to overcome and I’ll be with you every step of the way in your journey. I graduated with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2020 and also have a Masters in Addictions Counseling from there as well. I completed this degree in 2021. I realized I wanted to be a therapist after teaching for a year in Indianapolis Public Schools. I earned my Bachelors degree from Butler University in 2015 and played collegiate soccer while doing so. My current hobbies include playing indoor soccer, being outside, spending time with my pets, reading and traveling. I’d love to help you overcome your presenting problems and help you move forward in life. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think I’d be a good fit in your journey!

Marva V. Lewis
Here’s a quick bit of information about my education, and areas of focus. I graduated from University of Louisville with Masters in Couple’s and Family Therapy, as well as Social Work. The majority of my training is in family systems therapy. In short, that means I believe all things function as a system and are interconnected. My approach to therapy is person centered, informal, and conversational. I believe it’s important to look at the whole picture, instead of solely placing the weight of the problem on one person. I also enjoy looking at Mind- Body- Spirit connection, which in my opinion tends to promote overall well-being. My focuses areas are: daily stressors, Depression, Anxiety, Life Adjustments, Relational concerns, etc. Some of the techniques I pull from frequently are: CBT,DBT, Distress Dis-tolerance( Mindfulness), IFS, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, and motivational interviewing. Therapy is not a one size fit all. It’s important that the time you spend in session is designed for you. My work with you is tailored to you. My goal in session is to collaborate with you on your desired plan. I see myself as an assistant/ collaborator to helping you turn over the pieces in your life that need your attention. Therapy is the space and time where you are given the opportunity to be who you are. It is the space for you to be accepted and validate in a safe environment.

Neon Lavender Therapy and Wellness
You feel like you want things to be different going forward, but you're not sure how to make that happen. You feel a mix of emotions - sadness, anxiety, anger, fear and maybe hopelessness. When you are tired of hearing other people's expectations of you or feeling pressure from all the expected areas of your life, you are not feeling your best. Sometimes those “others” are parents or family. It feels like you are drowning or maybe you want to give-up. You feel like no one understands you and maybe you feel like you don’t even understand yourself right now. You dream of the day you will feel comfortable and confident in yourself no matter what others say or think of you. You want to live in a new changed way, feel energy, and be your best self with tools to cope with all that comes your way. I believe therapy sessions sometimes need to feel calm like lavender and at other times as energetic as neon. Let’s chat about what you’re wanting next, check out Neon Lavender Therapy and Wellness and email, text, or call today to set-up your in-person or virtual session.
