As a therapist, I specialize in supporting people who feel trapped by anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and past trauma. I work with clients of all ages who find themselves overwhelmed by fears, stuck in cycles of perfectionism, coping with life transitions, or navigating complex relationships. My main goal is to help create and cultivate a space that feels authentic and safe, and I draw on a bunch of different modalities (ACT, CBT, DBT) to meet my clients where they are at. I love working with students because I too was just a student, and I know firsthand the challenges of trying to meet external, academic pressures, navigate relationships, and trying to manage and balance mental health struggles. If you resonate with my approach or experience, please reach out :)
Finding the courage to begin therapy is no small thing—and I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone. I’m Melonie Singleton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist who believes that healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore, curious enough to grow, and brave enough to begin again. I specialize in working with children and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that hold you back, strengthen your inner compass, and create space for healing, joy, and possibility. In our first few sessions, you can expect me to ask many questions to get to know you—your past, present, and hopes for the future. My approach is warm, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices designed to meet you exactly where you are. Therapy is an adventure inward—a journey toward the truest version of yourself. If you’re ready to start charting your own path to healing, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Hello! My name is Jessica Hallman and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. Many of us go throughout life having to be different versions of ourselves, whether that’s being different versions at work, with friends or with family. We get into this mode where we compartmentalize, hide ourselves and our experiences for various reasons which can include shame, pain, anxiety, anger, or fear of not being accepted. This often leaves us feeling lost, tired, unfulfilled, or unhappy. Whether you are experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, problems with relationships, or a general sense of disconnectedness, I will work alongside you to promote inner healing, self discovery, and acceptance while allowing you to feel fully seen. I’m committed to creating a space that is safe, supportive, and non-judgmental where you can gently put down the “mask” and bring your whole self. I believe in having an individualized approach to meeting your needs. With the use of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution Focused Therapy, I will support you in gaining strength and finding joy. My belief is that we are each uniquely the captains of our own lives and at times, just need a new or different perspective on how to navigate our experiences. Let’s partner together, with you leading the way at your own pace (mask off), and begin the process of restoring your inner peace.
Claudia is dually licensed as a psychotherapist and school counselor, obtaining her degrees from Howard University and DePaul University. At Misfit Minds, we work best with students who feel a little overwhelmed by life—even if they’re doing “fine” on the outside. Many of the students we support are carrying anxiety, stress, trauma, or complicated relationship experiences that make it hard to focus, rest, or feel like themselves. Our clients often say things like: “I’m exhausted and always on edge.” “My brain won’t shut off.” “I’ve been through a lot, and it still affects me.” “I don’t feel understood in other spaces.” We’re a good fit for students who want therapy that feels real, supportive, and non-judgmental, not stiff or overly clinical. We especially connect with students navigating anxiety, identity questions, difficult family or relationship dynamics, past emotional harm, or feeling out of place. You don’t need to have everything figured out—or even know exactly what’s wrong—to start. If you want a space where you can be honest, go at your own pace, and be met with compassion, Misfit Minds may be a good fit for you.
Whether you are experiencing changes in mood, struggling with a particular situation, or having difficulties adjusting to a new life phase, therapy can often give you the skills to overcome these challenges. It is my goal to provide an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment that is supportive of your desire to make changes in your life.
