I work with individuals and families to resolve past issues, to obtain a sense of peace and control over their current experience, and look to the future with hope and excitement. I have 11 years of experience with family life-transitions including infertility, parenting, relationships, divorce. As I walk alongside individuals, we conquer identity development issues, adjusting to college, divorce, and other issues facing us across our life. I am credentialed as a telemental health counselor, meaning we can create lasting change from a distance. I specialize in treating individuals who experience depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, and relationship challenges. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and Texas, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor with eleven years of experience providing counseling services for adolescents, adults, and families.
I'm passionate about working with college students and recent grads. The transition from being a dependent to independent adult occurs rapidly while you're attending college and again once you graduate. It's common to experience anxiety and depression in the form of worrying about everything under the sun or feeling down more often than usual to simply feeling overwhelmed 24/7. I'm here to walk with you through those feelings, give you skills to cope with them, and process them along the way.
There is a part of me that feels extremely anxious. There is a part of me that gets really sad and down at times. There is a part of part of me that can hardly get out of bed some days. There is a part of me that needs to take care of everyone and everything. There is a part of me that wants to check out and escape from all the responsibilities I have. There is a part of me that thinks about dying and a part of me that wants to live. There is a part of me that …. How many times have we all had these feelings or thoughts that come over us that seem conflicting at times but represent how we are feeling in the moment. Understanding our parts even those that are contradictory, being able to validate and accept our parts, and creating balance and space for our parts mentally can be attained through therapy. Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) is designed to allow us to heal from our pain, hurt, and fears by managing the parts that have been created out of our traumas. We have all experienced trauma in some form, and we all have parts that have been borne from those traumas. Parts that help us manage our daily lives and parts that may tend to disrupt our lives, but all of these parts are valid and serve some self-protective purpose and can be managed once they are understood. I’m a first-generation daughter who grew up learning to navigate life’s biggest transitions without a guidebook. From a young age, I was fiercely independent, facing adversity head-on and figuring things out as I went. That experience taught me the deep value of healing, and it shaped my belief that no one should have to struggle alone. I know what it feels like to be lost in the process of change when the road ahead is unclear and support feels out of reach. That’s why I’m passionate about being a therapist. I see the courage it takes to reach out, and I honor the resilience that lives in every person I meet. My work is rooted in creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to find their way forward, no matter where they’re starting from.

Tiffany specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. She values helping clients with all aspects of their identity (i.e. race, sexuality, career, faith, social support, etc) and, of course, most mental health diagnoses. Her theoretical approach works to intertwine person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapies, with a feminist and liberation psychology emphasis. She prioritizes connecting with clients relationally to allow room for clients to be the expert on their experience, including their personality, strengths, and value systems. Additionally, with cognitive-behavioral therapy, it is her belief that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected and that by managing to change one, it is likely that the others will follow suit. Her emphasis on feminist and liberation psychology perspectives allows for an exploration of how systemic issues (i.e., mass incarceration or employment laws) are affecting a client’s presenting problems. Tiffany believes in utilizing empowerment to allow for the client to explore the various ways they have power over aspects of their life and the larger community they can change. Because of her background in providing Child-Centered Play therapy, she has found the power in integrating expressive methods (i.e., art or journaling) into her clinical work to go beyond relying upon only traditional talk therapy.

Through my professional experiences, I have found a love for working with younger adult clients and currently work with many undergraduate and graduate college student. I enjoy my work in helping to identify what isn't working for clients in their individual lives or in their relationships and finding alternative ways of thinking and responding that support mental wellness. My experience is is mostly in the areas of symptoms commonly experienced by those struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. I work mainly with cognitive models of therapy and am trained in EMDR, and have experience with other theories of psychology that I interweave into my practice, depending on what clients needs are and what they respond positively to. Ultimately I think the connection between therapist and client is the most important part of the therapeutic relationship and I truly enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level through the clinical work we engage in. It's not your fault. College is demanding & society rewards overworking. It can feel impossible to slow down & practice self-care when you're overwhelmed & nothing you do feels like it's enough. You deserve better. Let's work together to help you heal, unlearn society's b.s. rules, re-calibrate your nervous system so you can step into your power to create and enjoy your life!
Catherine (She/her) As a school social worker for 27 years, I worked with students PreK-12th grade and their families in school and the community. The last 10 years I focused more on the HS level with more personal issues that were affecting students' ability to focus on their classes. I got a reputation as someone who kept their secrets and helped them sort out who they are, esp. around issues of gender disphoria, sexual identity, and depression that frequently accompanies the struggle of self acceptance and showing ones' authentic self to others. College is a tough time for many people. If you think I can help you with this transition, please set up a video conference today. It's as confidential and encrypted as I'm capable to do.
As a college student or mid-career professional, trauma is the last thing you want to talk about. You wake up and take care of yourself. You go to class, go to work, clean your apartment, take care of your dog, go to the gym. You’re doing more than surviving- by many definitions, you are thriving! However, most people don’t know your story. A part of you feels grateful for your life, but another part wonders, "How would life be different if the (trauma) never happened to me?" You’re ready to let go of shame and guilt. You’re ready to transform trauma into a tool for meaningful change. You’re ready to renew your life.
