I view the soul as your mind, will, and emotions—the essence of who you are. Trauma can leave wounds that shape your view of yourself and the world, leaving fractures in your soul. Healing to me is not about ‘fixing,’ but about meeting yourself with compassion, understanding the protective patterns that once kept you safe, and reconnecting with the authentic self beneath them. I believe that every person carries an innate capacity for healing, even when pain and shame feel overwhelming. I trust that our wounds, when met with love and grace, can become openings to deeper wisdom, resilience, and growth. I also believe that healing is not a linear path—it unfolds gently, at your own pace, when safety and compassion are present. My work is rooted in the belief that wholeness is possible. "Grace softens the pain, love holds the wound, and compassion leads the healing.” The approaches I use are grounded in years of experience walking alongside survivors of trauma. Together, we’ll work with tools that go beyond surface-level coping and actually reach the root of what’s happening in your body and brain. Through Brainspotting, we can access and release the deep, unprocessed experiences that often drive anxiety and overwhelm. With trauma-informed DBT skills, you’ll learn practical ways to manage emotions, reduce shame, and build resilience. Using somatic approaches, we’ll gently reconnect with your body’s wisdom so that you feel more grounded and safe in your own skin. All of this work is held within a compassion-centered framework—because healing isn’t about fixing what’s ‘broken,’ it’s about meeting yourself with kindness and learning to trust your own inner strength. My goal is for you to leave therapy with tools you can carry with you anywhere—simple, effective practices that help calm your body, quiet your mind, and create space for peace.

I specialize in working with college and graduate students, young professionals, and couples, empowering them to develop skills to manage anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and explore their self-identity. I also work with first generation and children of immigrants and am committed to maintaining a culturally-informed practice that honors the different ways that people experience and think of their identity. Navigating the complexities of life can be challenging, especially when you’re dealing with things like anxiety, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Maybe you're struggling with the pressure of classes, or with adjusting to your new environment and building relationships. Or you might feel like you’re always anxious about getting things right or not knowing what's going to happen, and worry is becoming exhausting. Perhaps you're at a point where you want to learn more about the impact of your cultural background on your identity and explore the experiences you've had. Going to therapy can be a courageous step towards personal growth and self-reflection to develop the tools needed to manage symptoms and align ourselves more with our goals. Whether you're navigating major life transitions, managing work-related stress, or facing challenges in your relationships, my practice provides a supportive space to help you build resilience. By incorporating evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with compassion and mindfulness focused models, I provide a non-judgemental and empathetic environment in my work with clients. For couples therapy, I utilize the Gottman method to help couples improve their relationships. I am licensed in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC015213). I earned my M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Psychology, English, & Classical Studies from Emory University. I provide both in-person and virtual sessions to make therapy accessible and convenient for clients in the Decatur area and beyond. Whenever you’re ready to take a step towards therapy, I would be happy to speak with you and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process over an initial consultation. Please visit the link below to schedule a free consultation.

The cycle of perfectionism and food struggles leaves us feeling invisible, anxious, unworthy, and like an outsider in our own lives. If you’re tired of the constant pressure to prove your worth through your appearance or achievements, I’m here to help you find a way back to yourself. I'm currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Grand Canyon University and an aspiring therapist deeply committed to guiding clients toward holistic healing—body, mind, and spirit. As an intern, I provide low-cost therapy to help you access the care you need. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and women & men in midlife struggling with eating disorders, relentless perfectionism, anxiety & the persistent feeling of not being good enough. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who truly gets the exhausting weight of trying to belong while hiding behind a polished exterior. I've been there. Therapy should be a place where you feel deeply seen and safely challenged. Sessions with me are a blend of compassionate exploration and authentic connection, designed to help you dismantle the need for perfection and reclaim your sense of worth. Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute call or text to set up an appointment! Other availiability discussed upon request.

College can look exciting on the outside — but behind the scenes, many students feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure they’re keeping up. You may be juggling classes, pressure to succeed, shifting friendships, family expectations, and big decisions about your future — all while trying to hold it together on the outside. If you feel anxious, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unsure of yourself, you’re not the only one. I work with students who care about doing well but feel burned out from trying to keep up. Many struggle with anxiety, procrastination, trouble focusing, low confidence, perfectionism, or feeling like they don’t quite fit in. Others feel stuck after a setback, unsure about their direction, or overwhelmed by the independence and responsibility that come with college life. Together, we will focus on understanding what’s driving the stress and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. We might work on managing anxiety, improving focus and organization, navigating relationships, strengthening confidence, and creating a healthier balance between achievement and well-being. I offer a supportive, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can be real about what you’re going through and feel understood. My goal is to help you make college feel more manageable and to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of who you are.

I love working with women, specifically in their 20s-40s. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, mom and stepmom who cares deeply about supporting women and their partners as they navigate challenges and seek to have fulfilling relationships. Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, thoughtful, and carrying more than they let on. They're juggling the load of all the roles they fill, tend to put others before themself, are feeling disconnected or hurt in a relationship, or have a hard time quieting the constant chatter in their minds. With a spirit of authenticity, transparency, and some humor, I help women and couples to feel seen and understood as we unpack current or past issues and create a new path forward.
