Hi, I’m Dr. Sarah Muñoz, and I am dedicated to fostering a therapeutic space where clients feel truly seen, valued, and supported. I believe that healing happens within relationships built on trust, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness. My approach is deeply rooted in social justice, trauma-informed care, and inclusivity, honoring all aspects of identity, including race, culture, gender, sexuality, and spiritual background. I specialize in working with college students and adults in individual therapy focused on concerns surrounding trauma, religious and spiritual concerns, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, suicidal ideation, and identity exploration. My training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) allows me to help clients process painful experiences in a way that fosters resilience and healing. Whether you are working through past trauma, questioning aspects of your faith or belief system, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I am committed to providing a nonjudgmental, empowering space for exploration and growth. I also work with couples in therapy, addressing concerns related to communication, trust, intimacy, conflict resolution, emotional disconnection, infidelity, relationship anxiety, and identity dynamics. My approach aims to strengthen relationships, enhance understanding, and foster a deeper connection between partners.
My practice integrates bodywork with talk therapy. After fifteen years as a Structural Integration practitioner, I trained at Naropa in somatic psychotherapy — so sessions can include hands-on work, movement, breath, and conversation, depending on what's needed. The people I work best with tend to be thoughtful and somewhat introspective. They often sense that talking alone hasn't moved things — that something is held in the body, in patterns of tension, posture, or reactivity. Some arrive with chronic physical complaints alongside emotional ones. Others come stuck in relationships, identity questions, or grief that won't shift. You don't need any background in this work to start. We begin with what you're actually noticing — in your body, your mood, your day — and follow it from there.
Overthinking constantly? Stuck in "what if" loops? Feeling exhausted? If so, you are in the right place. I help high-functioning adults, students, and overthinkers with anxiety and OCD using proven approaches that really work and creates lasting change. The goal is simple: feel calmer, more confident, and more in control over your life. We will do hard things, we'll laugh, and we'll keep it human along the way. If this resonates, I'd love to work together. Hi, I'm Amy, Anxiety and OCD Therapist based in Broomfield, Colorado, as well as virtual in Colorado, Iowa, and Michigan. I provide a space that is relaxed, real, and not overly serious. I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping people work toward meaningful change. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, and related struggles utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). At Alpine Calm Wellness, the focus is on helping clients to reduce anxiety loops, break unhelpful patterns, and get unstuck from overthinking. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth. We will focus on what actually works in real life, expect structure, support, and a space where you truly feel heard. Together, we work on reducing avoidance, building confidence, and helping you to feel more control over your life. If you're ready to overthink less and live more, I'd love to connect. Outside the therapy room, I'm very much a "get outside" person, which is in part why I named my practice, Alpine Calm Wellness. I find my calm in nature. I love spending time with family, friends, and my dosg exploring all that Colorado has to offer, whether it be hiking, camping, snowboarding, or just being in the mountains. I'm also in my creative era, most recently diving into the handbuilt pottery world, perfecting my sourdough bread recipe, and crocheting a year-long temperature blanket, all which are teaching me patience and the value of the process.
I use a variety of creative therapy techniques, such as Nature-Based Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and accessing your instincts, to help you through challenges. My clients typically have huge hearts and are ready for support! I give you practical tools, like how to communicate well and how to handle stressful situations. I love supporting people, so you don't have to be alone in sticky situations. For more info, call me!

We believe that everyone is inherently driven to heal and become the fullest version of themselves. By providing children, adolescents and young adults with support and unconditional acceptance, we allow them to become the leaders of their own healing journey. Play therapy for adults?! It may sound quirky, but the essential values of play therapy (connection, emotional expression, facing your challenges with unconditional support) lend themselves beautifully to anyone’s healing process, no matter your age. Young adulthood is a time of tremendous change and transition, but that doesn’t mean you have to sort through all of those challenges on your own. Therapeutic support can be immensely helpful as you really discover who you are, what you want, and how you want to be in the world. If you are interested in learning more about our services, for you or for your child, please feel free to reach out to us! We are happy to offer you a free 30-min consultation to answer any questions you may have.

Licensed as a Professional Counselor, I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Graduating in 1998 from the University of Colorado, I received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Studies. I have completed PACT 3 training and EMDR 2 training. I have served as the professional consultant for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance for the Longmont/Firestone Chapter. My experience includes working with clients in multiple settings including psychiatric hospitals, public schools, mental health agencies, therapeutic day schools, and residential treatment facilities. Spanning more than 20 years, my therapy practice has evolved to include particular therapeutic theories and techniques that are not only effective in improving the lives of my clients but that also speak to my personal interests and values. In my therapy practice I work with individuals, couples and families facing many life challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders and trauma. My therapeutic approach is predicated on the knowledge that each of us has a family of origin and series of life events that deeply impact the way we function in our current work, family and love relationships. Understanding the "why" of a particular struggle can promote self-understanding, compassion and acceptance, and facilitate healing. Specially trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and having utilized it in practice for almost twenty years, I've had the privilege of aiding in the recovery of clients who have endured extreme emotional trauma such as abuse, neglect, combat, death of a loved one and unexpected loss. Utilizing EMDR has had a profound effect on me as I have repeatedly witnessed the relief of suffering and ultimate liberation from the lasting effects of trauma. In couples therapy, I am trained in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), which integrates neuroscience, attachment theory and arousal regulation to help explain the ways in which couples relate to one another. The goal of this model is to establish a secure functioning system for the partnership. When not in my office I spend time in our beautiful Colorado with my loving husband of over two decades and my three wonderful children. My family, friends, nature, travel and yoga practice are essential elements of my own personal strength and growth.

Many people arrive at care feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or discouraged after carrying the weight of their symptoms for far too long. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or treatment-resistant symptoms that haven't responded the way you hoped, you deserve more than a rushed appointment and a prescription. You deserve to feel heard and supported, by a clinician who takes the time to listen. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in medication management and psychiatric diagnosis for adults, and I work with a wide range of individuals who may appear high-functioning on the outside while quietly struggling within. My goal is to create a space that feels collaborative, personalized, and compassionate, one where we work together to understand what's truly contributing to your symptoms and find a treatment approach that fits your life and your goals. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but meaningful improvement is possible. When you feel ready, I would be honored to be part of your journey. Specialties include adult psychiatric evaluation and medication management, anxiety disorders, depression and treatment-resistant depression, ADHD and executive dysfunction, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and burnout. Every person who walks through my door is treated as exactly that: a person, not a diagnosis or a checklist. Care should feel like a partnership, and from your first visit, you can expect to be genuinely included in the decisions about your treatment. I offer comprehensive psychiatric assessments, personalized medication management, diagnostic clarification, and ongoing monitoring to ensure your treatment continues to serve you well over time. For patients who have struggled with difficult medication transitions or treatment failures, I provide supportive guidance through those moments as well. Specialties also include interventional psychiatry, including TMS and IV ketamine therapies. If you are exploring or currently undergoing any of these treatments, you will have a knowledgeable partner alongside you every step of the way. Whatever brings you in, the goal remains the same: to improve your overall functioning and quality of life in a way that feels sustainable and right for you. Growing up in rural West Virginia, I saw firsthand how limited access to mental health resources can be, and how much that gap costs people who deserve support. This early awareness stayed with me. It was during my time working at the Department of Veterans Affairs that I found my direction in psychiatric care, a field where the stakes are high and the need for compassionate, skilled support is undeniable. Personal experience has also shaped the way I show up for my patients. Having watched loved ones navigate mental health challenges, I understand how hard it can be to ask for help and how much it means to find someone who truly listens. That understanding is at the heart of everything I do. When I'm not in the office, you'll find me thrifting, junk journaling, getting lost in a good book, and enjoying creative ventures through Mic & Madds. I'm also a devoted mom to two boys and a full house of animals: three dogs, one cat, two jumping spiders, and two hermit crabs.
Are you ready for a shift? You feel stuck, unsettled, and want something different. You're seeking a supportive space to gain insight and reveal a more easeful, fulfilling way of being. My practice is rooted in the power of relationship. With trust and genuine connection, we establish the secure foundation that helps you deeply explore your past, process your present experiences, and confidently envision your future. Therapy with me is collaborative. You are the expert on your life, and I am a supportive guide and skilled partner in your journey. We'll address emotional wounds and transform old patterns that hold you back. Our work together will help you build greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-love, allowing you to live authentically, guided by your “True Hum.”
As a trauma-informed, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I help struggling neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ individuals navigate anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, and gender dysphoria. My expertise also extends to trauma recovery and well-being for youth and young adults. No matter what you’re facing, I believe in continual growth and change across our lifespans, which helps me carry hope for you. I look forward to providing a safe and non-judgmental container for growth in our work together. I’m passionate about providing you with the opportunity to minimize habitual reactivity and loss of executive function to have more free will and active executive functioning. My approach is rooted in a nervous-system-based style, tailored to your unique system and combined with evidence-based neuroscience modalities, psychotherapy, and your own feedback to help you reach your treatment goals. Throughout our time together, you can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental environment as you move toward these goals. My path to becoming a therapist began with my education in neuroscience, mixed with my own mental health struggles while figuring out my gender identity. This experience deepened my commitment to providing patient-centered care, ensuring an open curiosity paired with education and experience in each session. I love snowboarding, camping, and off-roading and adventuring outdoors with my dog. Experimental baking, amateur birding, and gaming (especially Stardew Valley) round out my hobbies, along with a curiosity for speculative geology. More than anything, I cherish spending time with friends and loved ones.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals with autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. I take a neuropositive perspective, which means I want my clients to understand and embrace their neurodivergence while also building awareness of some of the aspects of their neurodivergence that can limit them at times (i.e. mental inflexibility). My approach is warm and empathetic, however I also believe in being direct with my clients and in challenging them to push themselves towards growth and resilience. I use a blend of modalities tailored to the needs of the individual. I like to use rating scales to better understand my clients' areas of strength and need. I believe in setting and resetting goals as therapy progresses. This means I like to remind my clients of our focus, evaluate progress and whether or not the goal still makes sense for them, and adjust accordingly. My hope is that you will better understand yourself and why you do what you do. My goal is that you will gain skills and perspective to be able to effectively cope with the challenges life brings.
My style of counseling is highly relational, down to earth, and nonjudgmental. I will encourage you to make positive steps towards growth and healing as we process life together. In my work with teen and adult clients I focus mainly on relationship issues, depression, anxiety and fear, stress, self-esteem, and life changes. You have taken a brave step to find support for yourself and I hope I can be a good fit for wherever you are on your journey.
