Teagan Collis
Teagan Collis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist. She offers individual counseling for teens, young adults, and adults. Teagan specializes in supporting individuals navigating post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, and experiences that often intersect with trauma such as acquired brain injuries, chronic illness, depression, anxiety and grief. She works with college students struggling with anxiety, self-identity, self-esteem challenges, and adjustment challenges.
She also has extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals whether early-diagnosed, late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or exploring whether they identify with the neurodivergent community.
Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relational. She integrates expressive arts therapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Teagan works alongside clients to bring joy, creativity, and movement back into lives of those who may feel hopeless, misunderstood, or stuck. She practices cultural humility by remaining curious about each person’s unique lived experiences and by honoring the complexity of intersectional identities.
Above all, she views clients as the experts of their own lives, with the capacity to heal, grow, and thrive within themselves.
Outside of session Teagan enjoys reading, traveling, taking dance classes, and spending time with her two cats.
