Katie Herzer, LCSW
I became a therapist because I believe everyone is struggling with something, and no one deserves to struggle alone. Together, we will work to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build the skills and confidence to navigate life's inevitable challenges in a way that feels more aligned with who you want to be.
Whether your emotions often feel overwhelming or you tend to hide them while trying to hold everything together, I invite you to show up to sessions exactly as you are, messiness and all, while we work toward meaningful, lasting change.
When past painful experiences continue to show up in the present, EMDR is one of my favorite ways to help clients heal. This powerful approach helps you process those experiences at their root so they no longer hold power over your emotions, behaviors, relationships, or confidence in yourself.
I incorporate a touch of nerdy psychoeducation into our work to help you better understand yourself and have compassion for your experiences.
