Dr. Aspen Young
In the therapy room, I ground my practice in integrity, responsibility, justice, and respect. I believe in equality within the therapeutic relationship and strive to empower clients to maintain an active role in their healing. I also highly value creativity and openness, and enjoy personalizing therapeutic work to each individual’s unique needs. Additionally, wellness, growth, and lifelong learning are central values that guide both my personal and professional life.
I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and behavior—and in co-creating treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique experiences, values, and goals. I work with teens, adults, and couples, and I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, anger, serious mental illness, depression, and chronic pain.
At the heart of my work is the belief that we are all doing the best we can with what we have—and that growth, change, and healing are always possible. In the therapy room, I strive to create a calm, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel seen and empowered. I value creativity, humor, and openness; and I love celebrating growth!
